Ethan walked into his office with a very strict face. He had left Ava's house immediately after the kids had gone to had their bath from their play. He had wanted to stay but he knew that was not possibly because he needed to get to work if he really wanted to get done with this Alistair's case.Once he settled into his chair, he dialed his personal investigators number. The phone rang a few times, and then his voice came on the line. "Hello, this is Jeff. How can I help you?" The voice said, sounding efficient and professional. Anytime Jeff answered his call and was professional, he knew that he was in the middle of working on something important and he usually complained but not today because in fact, he wanted him to be very serious with this particular job he was about to give him."Jeff, I need you to look into a man for me." Ethan said, getting right to the point. "I see. What can you tell me about the man you need me to investigate?" Jeff asked, ready to take notes. "His
He wanted to make sure that they were both on the same page and that there were no misunderstandings. After all, they had been through a lot and it was important to him that they were honest and open with each other. When the moving company finally answered the phone, Ethan was relieved. He explained what he needed and was relieved to hear that they could come the following day. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders and he could finally focus on getting information about this Alistair guy. After the call with the moving company, he immediately dialed Ava's phone to tell her that he had gotten in contact with the movers and has come to a conclusion with them."Hey" she picked up the phone after a few minutes."What's happening?" She asked him, her voice a bit tired."Nothing much. I just called to inform you that the movers said they will be able to start moving your things tomorrow""Oh wow, that's great ne
It was the next day and the movers had already arrived at Ava's house and started moving a few things. She had woken up pretty early and prepared the kids for school since it was a Friday and it was one of the days they had to physically go to school. She was glad that it was so because the stress of trying to make sure that they were in the right place at the right time while she worked hand in hand with movers was lifted off her shoulders.Ethan had called a few moments ago to check on her and had said he'll be there in the next hour. She had already segregated the whole house as to how things would be moved and the movers were doing a pretty good job in following her instructions. As the continued packing and clearing out stuff, Ethan's car pulled up in the driveway and he alighted from the car, greeted the workers and quickly went in search of Ava, who was waiting in the kitchen as she had seen him pull up from the kitchen window.
She could not wrap her head around how someone seemed to be so evil and subconsciously she remembered the little girl at the camp and the incident that had happened between them. She found herself thinking of he had actually taken her to one of his human trafficking camps because wasn't it odd that the child told her that her mother always came back and the woman had looked like she was out of her mind. Was that a possibility? "How the hell is he not behind bars for all these grievous offence" Caroline asked, shock evident in her voice."Well that's where it gets interesting. You see, we also found out that he is from a very influential family. A family of politicians in fact and him being behind bars would be a taint to their image so they pulled a few strings and tried to set up a good life for him but once a thief, always a thief right?" He asked and Caroline scoffed once more, she could most definitely believe all the things that were found to his name but it was still a bit too
"I already drew out a plan but it isn't finalized yet. I think we need to gather more information about Alistair and his family. One would argue that we have enough but we can't be too sure so we need to know every single thing about them, from their daily activities everyday to what time they wake up every single day. We need to know their business like it's ours because the more we know, the better equipped we'll be to deal with this situation and anything that they could possibly throw back at us. I've already started digging into his background through my investigator and I'll keep you updated on what I find." Ethan said, pulling out his phone and starting to type some things as he remembered."My squad is on the way back to Florida. This is a big fight and we must come very equipped."Thank you so very much. I really don't know what I would have done without you in this situation." Ava said, feeling so grateful for having a man like Ethan in her life.Taking her hands into his,
The team had all finally arrived Florida and just like Ethan suspected he could not manage to go scot free in ruining Kimberly's honeymoon. He was about heading out for the office when his phone rang and he glanced at the caller ID only to see that it was Kimberly and he sighed internally. He knew he had two options, one was to ignore her and just go about his day but that would not be a no e thing considering he had actually stolen her husband from their honeymoon and not only that, but he was also taking him to fight a very dangerous fight and the second was to pick up and apologize to her and he settled to do the latter when the phone started to ring again."Kimberly I know I know and before you say anything I'm very sorry but I really need Jacob on this job " he said immediately and that diluted Kimberly's frustration a little bit. She sighed at the other end of the phone, she was really not bothered that Jacob had to return back to Florida for some work, the only reason she was
"Okay let me explain. A few years ago, I had this problem and it required a lawyer's intervention. I had to go to one of the best law firms in Florida and who did I meet but Alistair's uncle who happens to be a top politician in the state and he was able to help me out. I have to say though, that I don't like his nephew one bit even though I've never met him but from the things his uncle told me, I feel there's just something off about him" she said, a look of distaste on her face as she took a sip of her drink. She remembered how she would meet up with Mr. Brian, his uncle and all he would do was complained about how his irresponsible nephew wanted to ruin their family name and how they cannot get rid of him because his father, their brother had worked his ass off to get them all to where they were now and as he was dead, the least they could all do was to try and make a decent person out of him but it was proving very difficult."And the best thing that can happen to us in this case
"First of all, I'll love to inform you all that we have a new member of the team." Ethan said, his voice steady. "Who is it?" Jacob asked, looking intrigued, it was obvious that he had no idea of his wife's activities and he was a out to be surprised, "It's someone I think you all know. Kimberly" he dropped the information while looking right at Jacob to catch his reaction. There was a collective gasp in the room, everyone clearly surprised by this development but none like her husband."Are you sure this is a good idea? Isn't that Jacob's new wife?" David asked glancing between Jacob and Ethan."I believed that's too dangerous boss" he said and Ethan sighed and before he could say anything Jacob spoke up."My wife has no business coming down here. Anything you think she can do for you, I will do it boss" he said, voice thick with an emotion Ethan could not pinpoint. He knew why he was getting that reaction from them and he needed to clear it off immediately."I need you all to rema
