Chapter 9: The Unexpected Luna

Rarely do I see the sun's face, thanks to the harsh winter often visiting the Moonflame Pack. But here in the abode of the Nightblood Pack, sometimes winters are soft depending on the Alpha King’s mood according to Geneva. But there are times that it is as cold as his icy eyes per Caesar’s words.

Today is mildly cold. I’ll take it as a good sign that he’s in a good mood.

I shrugged. I'm too assuming of things.

I looked ahead of me. The castle was a towering, dazzling white as if the Moon Goddess crafted it herself. It’s a beacon in the distance and the exterior seemed to glow as if the moon was perched atop a snow-capped mountain like some ice palace I once read as a bedtime story when I was young.
