CHAPTER 10

EVOLET

While everyone else were enjoying tonight’s dinner, I was sitting in my seat, feeling unwanted.

My mood was ruined thanks to Fiona, who was stealing the Queen’s attention with her so-called angelic nature.

Everything made me unhappy. Only Derby was trying to keep me smiling, until the end of the massive dinner with Queen Chriselda.

As soon as it came to an end, I exited the room with derby, after the Queen left. All I wanted to do was get into my room, sleep, and forget about tonight’s dinner.

But like always, someone had other plans for me.

As soon as Derby and I reached a certain distance from the dining room, we heard from behind, “Where are you racing to, Queen Violet’s lookalike?”

I stopped in my track on recognizing Fiona’s voice. I carefully turned around and found her with her minions, smirking directly at me, ready to ruin the remaining hours of the day for me.

“What’s the matter? Are you feeling defeated already? It’s fine if you tell us how you feel, Eve. We all know
