A hot pain sneared through me as Avalor’s voice sounded continuously in my head. "If anything happens to my pup, I will kill you, Hilda."

Everyone had left, including Alex, who joined the pack doctor. I was left alone on the walkway, like someone who didn’t matter at all to anyone. Even with my big stomach, no one seemed to care except for Alex. Avalor is more concerned now with his unborn pup and woman. I don’t blame me. He is being a responsive father.
