“Have you lost your senses, Amal?” the first voice rise over the rest, and Sam who gas been striving to digest what was going on, sat up on her hinge, and craned her neck to look at who was speaking. It was the black wavy hair man from before. It seems it’s his father.
The Alpha slowly twisted about to look at the speaker, fire inherent in his deep blue. Instantly the woman sitting by the side of the man, with equal blue eyes and blond hair stood, and held her raging husband that looked like he wanted to attack his son.“I am the Alpha of this pack father. Lest you have forgotten, I make the final decisions,” the Alpha snarled, earning a bat eye from the mother.“Shut your mouth this minute, Amal. Have you forgotten who you are speaking to? Your father!” the woman briskly shunned him. Though he didn’t seem moved by her words.“How can you make her you slave? We abolished that a long time ago. She is a traitor and deserves to be killed,” his father went on to reason.“Well, as I said earlier, as the Alpha I hold the last word. So she would be my slave,”“You have lost your marbles, Amal. I knew right from when you came in from that mission that something has gone wrong with you! Take me out of here, lest I lost my mind on him,” his father said and began walking out of the table. The other elders who has been watching the charade with open mouths and eyes all stood and commenced walking out with him, a look of disbelief still plastered on their faces. The Alpha stood resolute watching them file out, to remain only him, the hunky man, another man standing closer to the Alpha now, then Samantha, and the girl red-haired girl. The girl stood from her seat and began ambling in the Alpha’s direction, “Amal,” she purred, “Don’t you think that decision of yours was a bit too rash?” she quizzed, picking up a glass of white wine from the table to step down to the level of the others.“ I don’t need your approval, Paisley,” the Alpha’s hard tone grated through the air.“I know, I know. I am just saying… maybe you should just kill her,”“Well, I won’t. Can we leave now?” he whipped about and made for the door. The girl didn’t leave immediately. She stood and severely weighed Samantha on the floor with evil eyes, “Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Though I pity the rest of your existence as his slave. He would drain you,” with that, she emptied the glass of white wine on Sam and made after the Alpha.Sam wiped vigorously on her face and body, her emotions becoming dismal. The thing appeared surreal to her. A while ago she ascertain that she was going to die. And now, she is faced with an ultimate realization that she might actually be going crazy. When the Alpha had come in, she has received that scent. It was powerful and entrancing despite her fighting to acknowledge it. She had heard stories of rare cases when people are blessed with a second chance mate. But she was an Omega and Omegas are rarely granted such favors by the goddess.Second chances are for high-ranking wolves. That left her thinking perchance it was all an illusion. Then why did he let me live? She thought. Did he feel it too?The hunky man soon dragged her away from the now-empty hall out of the building to the open weather. Sam welcomed the fresh breeze that hit her face, reminding her that she was going to live yet another day. She doesn’t know one thing about being a slave. She has heard people talk about it and sneaked a peek in the library back home at how they were treated. If it were anything close to what she read, then she knew she was done for.“Walk faster, murderer! I don’t have time to watch you dawdle. Just because you have been allowed to live doesn’t mean you___”“Lugard!” the voice of the Alpha reverberated from the car parked ahead of them. He was standing gallantly close to the door of the car, his eyes devoid of any emotion. “Take her back to my house and make sure she is kept in the slave quarters. Create one!” he delved into the car and banged the door gravely.Sam watched with a dejected heart as the car pulled out of the park, the dust infiltrating their faces. Sam bent over letting out a spree of coughs. Not waiting for her to recover, the hunky guy seemingly used to that treatment, began dragging her way in the left direction from where the dungeon is located.Anywhere, as far as I am far from that dastardly dungeon. Sam gave the gate one last look.It wasn’t a long walk as they soon arrived in front of an enormous building standing at the center of the pack.Sams’s eyes walked the entire panorama of the mansion. Her former pack Alpha’s house was nothing compared to this one. It looked like an adobe palace. She wasn’t allowed to finish adoring the aesthetics whence being tugged into the building which flung open and she was ushered into the big space.“This is where you would stay until the Alpha orders otherwise. Do. Not. Ever.Come. Out.” He instructed “Remain in here until you are called, understood?”Sam’s head was bouncing but quickly corrected herself as he stalked close, “Yes, Sir.” She reeled, jumping away from him.The door bashed at her face, rendering the entire room in extreme darkness.“That was a way to go, Samantha. At least you are alive,” Sam mumbled to herself, strolling to the wall to find a switch. The minute the light can’t on the flopped to the ground and cried out her eyes. She thought of what the lady from back at the council hall has told her. The mere thought of more pains inflicted on her life, made Sam lose her waterproof of tears.Recently, everything seems to be cascading down the line for her.“I just pray I can bear the thought of becoming a slave to someone that is supposed to be my mate. Oh, Derrick. How my heart yearns for you. If only you were alive,”That was the last thing she said before the cold hands of sleep lured her in.The next morning arrived with a heavy bang on her door.Samantha who was still dozing on the floor jumped up, her eyes dashing frantically about the not_ so_ spacious compartment, her brain still yet to register why she was there. Her scrutiny was cut with another bang at the door, this time steadier. She jolted up from the bed and scurried to the door in fear. Who could be knocking like that by this time of the day? She pondered, stopping to straighten her gown that had folded up while she slept.“Open the damn door, Omega!” a brisk voice ordered, causing goosebumps to spread on Sam’s body as her situation began trickling back. Her shaking hands found the lock of the door and tried to unlatch it. The minute the door fell open, the hunk which she recognized from yesterday barged into the room, his eyes scanning through the room as though in search of something.Sam was still standing by the door, her eyes pinned to the ground, awaiting him to finish his skimming. He whipped around, hi
“What are you doing here? I have been looking for you everywhere,” the girl from before appeared in front of Sam who has walked the halls in circles still looking for her room. Sam bent over, her hand to her chest, breathing in pants. “ I missed my way.” She simply said, unable to tell the girl the main reason why she had run off by herself. “Okay, let’s go. The room is over there,” the girl pointed ahead of them and began walking. Sam only nodded mildly and walked after her, her spirit still much dampened from the cold treatment of her supposed mate. “Here we go!” the girl thrilled stopping in front of the familiar door of Sam. Sam cursed within, recalling she had passed the hall that led to her room but had been too traumatized to recognize it. “I will bring you a meal immediately.” The girl left afterward, leaving Sam staring after her. She craved to take a stroll but she knew better, so she pushed the door and went in. Sitting on her bed, her mind tried to dissect what just
The infirmary was in an uproar as everyone jostled about in absolute somberness following the news of the visitation of the Alpha.Everyone was on their best behavior as had been instructed by the head of the infirmary Theodore. He had called them shortly after Mr. Berkley had instructed Sam to clean one of the rooms of the wards. The rule was simple to make sure the nurses and Doctors had the place running properly… No speck. No dust.Everyone had been surprised to see Dr. Theodore coming to the hospital after a long week He hardly comes to the infirmary. This meant that this was very important and no one wanted to be a scapegoat.Sam who just finished scrubbing the ward she had been assigned to, was rushing out of the packing store where she dropped the cleaning equipment when she nearly collided with someone. She quickly righted herself and staggered back, “I am sorry Sir,” cried Sam, smoothing her hand on her gown. She looked up subtly and flinched back in apprehension as her eye
Long after the Alpha left the infirmary, Sam had looked for a secluded place to cry her heart.Everything that took place and how the people had watched afterward flashed before her eyes. Now she was afraid that they would look at her like a slave rather than their equal. And she was supposed to be their Luna. She was in the infirmary bathroom still crying her out, when someone knocked. Her heart lurched and she worked to steady her ragged breathing as well as regain her emotional poise. She had come here for privacy. Why would they not just allow her a few minutes to herself?Don’t forget you are a slave. The thought flitted by.Unlatching the lock with quivering hands, Sam opened the door and looked out. “Hy,” she mewled. It was the girl she had met previously in the nursery. She stood there peering at Sam with something that Sam could discern as pity etched in her eyes.Realizing she was acting creepy, the girl stuttered on her feet and cleared her throat. “Are you crying?...” then
An hour later, after Sam had been poked and prodded into perfection for the Alpha, the girl who Sam later found out her name was Sonia, repeated the process of accompanying her to his door and this time there was no sound from her.“I forgot to tell you, he might not be inside by now. You will have to wait for him. Don’t touch anything,” the girl admonished in a soft voice.Sam rolled her eyes inside. It’s not like she is interested in any of this. She would just have to adhere to what he had said and wait for him naked on the bed_ no matter how humiliating the idea sounded.“Thanks, Sonia,” Sam expressed timidly and entered the room. She stood at the door and let her eyes wash over the room. It was very spacious as befitting an Alpha. This was supposed to be their dwelling place him and her. Not with some girl who from her outlook was a dignified busy body. But, he would rather share it with another woman than share it with her. She was good to be his slave and attend to him in the m
Sam's hand ran over her dress, smoothing it in place. She hoped the ground would open up and swallow her, and she hoped he didn't do something to her.“I'm-” Her wolf warned her just then, “I wouldn't do that if I were you! ” So she kept quiet, setting her hands back at her sides. She had not known she would fall asleep or that anyone would mind. She was merely a slave, and she shouldn't have eaten the food or tried on the dress, but she hadn't meant to!It was all just so wonderful and she was so hungry from such a stressful day, and oh, she had really done it this time. Her alpha stood in front of her, his eyes glowing a deep red. His cheeks were flushed and she regretted looking up at him so she looked back down, hoping he wouldn't notice that she had been staring at him.He let out a low growl that made her jump, and without meaning to, she took a step backwards. He came even closer to her, and she quickly ran past him and landed on the wineglass, shattering it into a milli
A few minutes into her reverie, she realized that they were all waiting for her to ask the million dollar question. So she did, eyes focused on the shiny black of her shoes.“W-w-where am I going to be?”Amal let his smile take over his entire face when he replied to her. “With me, of course. You're now my personal maid, at my beck and call.”They all forgot the rules and dropped items onto the floor while staring at him in shock. “What are you looking at?” he barked, “get to work!”The girls all separated and got to work. Sam quickly walked into his closet to set the dress on one of the hangers. He was hot on her heels, unbuttoning his shirt as he came in. Flushing a bright pink, she looked down at her feet walking so she could get past him quickly. Right before she passed him, he grabbed her arm and breathed in her ear.“I haven't forgotten your punishment, Omega.”Sam's face lost all of its color and she cleared her throat to stop the tears that threatened to come out. The
Amal's POV.Since he had found her in his bed earlier, he couldn't get enough of her scent. When she had run out of his room he immediately went to where her blood pooled on his carpet and sniffed at it, desperate for her scent. When that had proved futile, he remembered that she had laid in his bed and her body had been tangled in the soft cotton sheets. He ripped them off the corners of the mattress and bunched them up, letting his nostrils drag in her scent. He wanted to taste her. He wanted to bite her and have her scent all over him. She was heady, and had a nice scent he could go forever smelling. Soon enough, I remembered that she had eaten his food. And that her dishes were on the table outside. He stepped out and tested the rim of a glass. It still had a bit of orange juice and he could taste her on it.He loved her smell, and didn't catch himself until his wolf uttered something that was impossible by any means. Mine, it said. “No! ”he retorted, aware that he was figh

Amen. ******Of one of the days, as she was training the warriors, she heard a commotion outside. She quickly went to investigate and saw that a group of rogues had attacked the pack. The warriors were already in battle, fighting off the rogues. Sam knew she had to help. She quickly joined the fight, using the skills she had taught the warriors. She fought fiercely, taking down rogue after rogue. After what seemed like hours, the battle was won. The pack had emerged victorious, thanks to the warriors and Sam. As she walked back to her office, she was met with cheers and applause from
From where he was in the hall, her father's hand shot up in a little wave, and applause and a few laughs followed it. “I would also like to thank some very special women, and I'll need your help. I need them to stand up, all the girls from the mansion, could you please rise up?” When nobody moved, she gestured at the table to call them herself. “Elan, Charity, Nora, Sam! Get up here!” When all four of them got up from their chairs and moved towards the podium, the hall erupted in applause, causing blotches of color to form in the cheeks of all four women. “These are the women who made today so wonderful. From the food options to the flowers and the dresses and your comfort, these are the women who made things happen. They were the ones who made me comfortable, and helped me relax throughout this very stressful process, and I think they deserve their flowers. Charity was the one who heralded the dresses and my comfort, going with me to get the best dress possible, for my comfort an
Zack had been standing at the Altar, and Sam thought she had seen a year drop from his eyes, and Alpha Amal's too. The two men had developed an understanding that Sam knew nothing about, and her husband was part of his party. A photographer ran forward and captured a picture of the moment, and Sam felt her cheeks begin to throb from how wide her smile was. The officiant walked forward - a man from town - and began to join the couple in matrimony. Everyone gushed over how adorable the couple was as the wedding went on, and a collective breath was held when he asked if there were any objections to the wedding. There were none, and Sam was glad. Soon, the ceremony was over, and the newly wedded couple walked out of the chapel, getting pelted by rice and flower petals. Sam wondered if they would be left to walk all the way to the reception area, but then decided against it. She got into one of the cars that she and Alpha Amal had brought from the mansion along with Charity and the gi
“None of us here know Sam as well as I do. And I want to tell you all that she has been through quite a lot. A lot more than anyone should have to go through, and we should celebrate her because of how strong she is. How beautiful and kind she is. How patient and loving. We should all be thankful that we know her!”Everyone laughed, but glasses were clinked again, with Sam beaming over at her drunken best friend. That night, they stayed talking about everything and nothing till the wee hours of the morning, the women setting themselves apart from the men.Paisley's wedding was in a week, and preparations were in place. She had been questioning if reception should be held in the town hall, and Sam agreed that it needed a lot of thought, especially if she wanted to invite everyone in town.“I don't know, I think my estate is bigger than the town hall, and it can hold more people. And since the food is being made in my home, if anything runs out, it can quickly be replenished, you kno
No more was said of Alpha Amal's father, calls had stopped coming in, and Sam's nightmares had ended almost as soon as they had begun. Vivian, Dave and Dan were now permanent fixtures around them, and every few minutes, they could be seen following Sam and Alpha Amal. She had finally moved all her things into Alpha Amal's room permanently, allotting that room to the guards to rotate in, so they could watch them. The central door was kept permanently locked, so no one would barge in or walk in on anyone dressing. It worked for everyone, mostly because the guards were permanently aware of whatever actions were being taken.Sam had - surprisingly - gotten used to their presence, and no longer resented that she couldn't go anywhere without a shadow. She had befriended Vivian and gotten to know her, so it felt more like she was hanging out with a friend than she was being watched. Alpha Amal on the other end had gotten flustered with every single visit of his guards. Dave and Dan would e
The day is going fine, and I am actually reconsidering my decision on birthdays, until he comes in.”Alpha Amal looked in between his wife and his grandmother, wondering if he had missed something. “Am I missing something, guys? Who comes in?”“Elder Mark. He is angry, and as a wolf, in the dream, he cha he's at the party and barrels straight for me, ripping me apart. In the dream, I die before I can see anything, but this time around I actually saw you die first, Amal. He mangled you beyond recognition, and killed me, so he could use my head as a warning to other people. I think we should be worried about him, Amal.”Alpha Amal put his hand on his chin to think about it, and then immediately he had processed what she had just said, he held out his hand to Sam. “How long has this been happening? And why didn't you tell me? I would have listened.”“I just didn't want to worry you. Things have been going so well and now I'm having stupid dreams about stupid men and things that are prob
“Oh, of course,” responded Zack. “He's on our way, and it really doesn't cost anything. Will he be much longer though? We really want to leave because we have an appointment at the bakery to taste cakes for 11:00AM.”“I think he and Alpha Amal will be done with their conversation Inna few minutes. Surely, if it were anything too important, they would have had it sooner?”“I guess.”Just then, Paisley came back in to fetch Zack, and without any previous discussion, she turned to Alpha Amal and his father and yelled. “Look, gentlemen. I would like to drop YOU off, but until you wrap up your little conversation, I cannot in good conscience do that, so could you hurry up?”She slid into a chair with that and I quickly ran to the kitchen to get them both bottles of cold water and some fruit. “Thank you so much for coming,” I said, handing her the bag. With my eyes, I finished the rest of the thank you, thanking her profusely for dropping off Alpha Amal's father. Soon their conversation ro
After their breakfast together, they both went down the stairs to check in on the guests who didn't live in the mansion. They were matching again, and she thought it was intentional on Alpha Amal's part. She nudged him gently as they took the first steps down. “Matching with me, aren't you?”“Yes, I am. I'm cute like that, aren't I?”Teasingly, she scrunched up her nose and muttered, “umm.” “Hey!” he yelled, earning a glance from the maids who were in earshot and heard him. Together they walked over into the kitchen, saying hi to the chef before heading on over to the dining area, where they could hear the chatter between Paisley and her partner, and Sam peeped in head first, wanting to see if Alpha Amal's father was also at the table. He was, at a corner, quietly nibbling on some toast. She felt for him, knowing that his wife was near him but for whatever reason he could not have access to him. Alpha Amal peered after her and followed her line of sight. When he realized that s
When he finally came out of the bathroom, Sam rushed him into his closet, pointing out the clothing she had set out for him. Confused, he looked up at her. “Sam, these are not my clothes, where did they come from?”“They are my gift to you.”He found that questionable, but he slipped on the shirt, noting with alarm that it worked perfectly well for his figure. “How come-”“I know my way around measuring.” At his raised eyebrow, she completed her statement. “And I stole one of your shirts to measure it with.”“What a woman,” he laughed, turning to give her a forehead kiss. Completely dressed, she pulled him onto the chair in front of his dresser, oiling his scalp for a quick massage before she brushes his hair through. Finished and satisfied with how they were both looking, she set out for the door, holding it open for him. He stepped out ahead of her and walked down the stairs, noting in awe that the entire mansion had been decorated. “Sam! How? I walked last here this morning, and
