His fury

Ivy is terrified. After she insulted the infamous Nikolai Knight, he dragged her out of that warehouse and now she is locked up in one of the rooms in the Knight mansion. She struggled to escape and she begged him to let her go. But his cold indifference is all she got from him.

Despite his anger, none of his men touched her and all the while she was trying to cover her torso with her hands. She is scared, hungry and alone in this dark room. She knows what she said was wrong. If there was anyone who knows how soft hearted the young Nikolai was, it was her. That incident changed him alot.

She didn't know how many days have passed, or it might just hours. But no one came to unlock her or to see if she is even alive or dead. She is feeling weak and very cold. Her head started to feel heavy, and slowly she succumbed into the darkness.

Nikolai is more than angry. No one knows how his parents were killed. But he does. Someone raped his mother before killing her. His father was tortured untill he lost every drop of blood inside his body before leaving him to die. His father heard his mother's screams for help, but he couldn't save her. Nikolai can understand how much it must have pained his father to hear his wife's misery. That's why Nikolai is hunting for his parents murderers.

He changed alot after their death. He became cold and detached to all kinds of emotions. The only emotion he feels is anger and his thirst for revenge. He no longer trust anyone around him. He likes to keep everyone on their toes. No one knows what he would do next.

When he is batting demons of his own, he didn't like how his captive compared him with his mother's rapists. He wouldn't have violated her. He was not planning to. He was just scaring her. It worked too well. It's been two days from that incident. And he locked her up in the guestroom.

"Nik, She might die if you don't feed her now" Ronda, his house keeper reminded him for the tenth time. She is in her late fifties. Rhonda has only one functional leg while the other is a plastic leg. She has been working for him for two decades now. She used to be his mother's best friend, and mother figure to Nik. Only she can dare to speak with him when he is angry like this. He respects her, and that's why he would never hurt her.

Nikolai is still angry. He would have killed her if she was not a woman. But she is and he is sure that she knows something. He wanted to know what secret she is hiding and why she is so desperate to hide it.

"Well, she is more useful to me when alive than dead. Bring me some food. I will personally feed her" he said with a dark smile.

Rhonda is worried for the girl. But she cannot do anything to convince Nikolai to change his mind. No one can change his mind once he is set on something. Helplessly she brought some food for the girl and handed it over to Nik.

Nikolai made his way to the guestroom to greet his captive. He unlocked the door and closed it after him. He saw the girl lying on the floor. She is unconscious. He didn't feel any remorse to see her like that. He picked up the water glass from the food tray and spilled it's contents on her face. He saw how the girl gasped with shock and woke up. It took her a moment to get her bearings. When her eyes landed on him, they became wide with fear. She sat up immediately. She forgot to cover her torso. But he didn't look. His gaze never moved away from her face. He is reading her every expression like a book. Shock, confusion and realisation played on her face one after another.

"Well, are you ready to speak?" he asked casually.

She looked distressed. Her chapped lips parted and then closed again.

"Please, I don't know anything. Let me go" she begged him. But it did nothing to him.

"Don't test my patience. The longer you delay, the faster your lover boy will die" he said coldly.

Ivy's eyes became wide at what he was indicating.

"Jason? Please don't hurt him. He is innocent" she begged him miserably.

He pulled out his phone and played a video where Jason was seen tied to a chair. He is bloody and bruised. His head is to one side.

Ivy is stunned to see this.

"No, please leave him. Please" she crawled towards Nikolai and begged him.

He didn't look at her. He doesn't need her begging. He need answers.

"What do you know about that night" he demanded.

Ivy slumped on the floor dejected. She knows that her father is safe. But Jason might die if she doesn't open her mouth now.

"I was there that night. I saw the people who killed your parents" she whispered.

It was not easy for a ten year old girl to witness such a heinous crime and not be affected by it. From that day she was plagued with nightmares. In her every dream, she sees the faces of the men who raped Nikolai's mother. And she would wake up screaming for help.

When Nikolai heard her confession, he froze. He was searching for them for ten years, and finally he found a lead. He sat down on one knee in front of the girl and clutched her shoulders. He is still looking at her face and not her exposed body.

"Who? Who are they? I want names" he demanded.

From this close, she is petrified to face him. But she lack the energy to run or resist.

"I don't know their names. But I can recognise them if I see them again" she replied.

Nikolai is satisfied to hear her words.

"Good"
