Xavier looked down on his lap and smiled while caressing Valentina's hair as she slept on his thigh in the car. The ring on her hand shone and that just made him feel more proud.
He slowly pried her off his thighs and took her in his arms in bridal style. He came out of the car and started walking inside the mansion.
"Woof, woof"
"Shush!!"
The puppies who ran towards the entrance on sniffling Valentina's scent, whimpered back at Xavier's silent glare. They saw Valentina sleeping in the giant man's arms so went away without making another sound.
Xavier sighed. He didn't want to ruin his little wifey's sleep. He kicked off hi shoes and wearing his slippers, he walked upstairs. He opened the door to his room and placed Valentina on the bed without making any sound. He took off her shoes and placed them beside the bed. He then proceeded towards her m
Valentina looked confusingly around her surroundings as Xavier talked away with Lan while firmly holding her hand. It was past an hour that they came to this place and since then, all Valentina could see was long towers and buildings with people bustling around. She could see how small people were looking from the top of the building where she was with Xavier. "Private jets won't need her any passport!!" Valentina frowned hearing Xavier's pissed off voice for the umpteenth time. Lan rubbed his temples as he was unable to make Xavier understand a simple thing. Valentina hadn't had her passport with her because of which she couldn't travel abroad. But Xavier being Xavier was adamant. He right now couldn't go to country A and bring back her passport. Amidst all this chaos, the intercom in Lan's office started ringing. Lan answered it and said a few syllables before discon
Valentina grew tense and started nibbling on her nails. Lan looked at her and sighed. He again dialled Xavier's number but it was unreachable. He couldn't reach Xavier for the past one hour. Xavier was to reach the airport in 20 minutes but it has been an hour, he didn't arrive yet. "Val, he will be here. Don't be so anxious!!" Valentina felt scared. She knew Lan would protect but she was scared for Xavier. It has been an hour, she boarded the plane. The plane was no matter beautiful but she couldn't bring herself to adore it. She again looked at the entrance but there was no sign of Xavier. Her eyes teared up and she looked down to avoid looking vulnerable in front of Lan. "Finally!!!" Valentina heard a voice and looked up. She found Lan smiling while looking at the entrance. She followed his trail of eyesight and gasped when she saw Xavier nodding to the air hostess.
Mrs. Jones knew the name Andy would steer her. And it did work. Her blushing cheeks and her widened eyes were the evidence. But then her eyes falter at the mocking of fate. She knew what she was going to say would surely break the little girl's heart. And it was the last thing she wanted. Lara controlled her frantic heartbeat and looked at Mrs. Jones. She got up from her seat and went near her before engulfing her in a hug. The woman in front of her was like her mother. She always helped her and cared for her like her own mother.. "Where did you and Andy bro lose? I couldn't find you both after high school." Lara complained with a pout on her lips. She had missed her and more than that she missed the guy who was gone after capturing her heart. Lara was in love with her senior and her teacher aka Mrs. Jones only son, Andrew Jones. She doesn't remember his name that much as she alwa
Valentina slept like a baby throughout the whole plane journey. But sleep was nowhere near Xavier. He kept on looking at her face and took into every small detail of her face. His finger never stopped from caressing her cheeks and twirling her hair strand. He even went crazy to smell her scent. It is so enchanting and mesmerizing. Valentina snuggled more into his chest making him smile. Xavier tightened his hold around her waist and buried his face in the crook of her neck. Heaven!! °Valentina's POV° I slowly opened my eyes and was astonished when I saw myself on a soft comfy bed. My jaw dropped down as I looked around the room. It is flawlessly beautiful and aesthetic. The curtains hang around the round bed, the light brown tables with scented candles placed on them. The handmade carpet that took one fourth of the floor. I placed my feet on the cold tiles and felt a s
°Xavier's POV° She is the one I have always been waiting for. My little angel, my little doll. The one who accepted my shortcomings. Loved my insecurities, made me feel happy about myself. How the hell I couldn't recognize her? She was in front of me all the time. How I didn't recognize the soft touch of her lips against my lips? °Flashback° "Sir, these are the bags!!" The bodyguard didn't enter the room seeing my slide glare. I placed Valentina down on the bed and covered her with the duvet. I kissed on her forehead and patted her hair before looking at the bodyguard, nodding at him to come inside. Along with him, two more bodyguards came in with our luggage and bags. Valentina's backpack fell down from their hand making me squint my eyes at him. He can't even take care of a simple bag!! I took the bag and dust
Xavier couldn't muster up the courage to go inside their suite. He felt like a teenage boy who was going to see his crush for the first time. After the revelation, Xavier felt more protective of Valentina. The thought of her being in danger because of her father didn't leave his mind for a second. A faint smile came upon his lips thinking of their first meet. No, not at the marriage altar. The very first time when two insecure people met each other just to feel like two normal people. °Flashback° 19 years old Xavier sat down on the bench outside his campus. The garden area was beautiful to such an extent that he never wanted to leave that place. He felt like weak people like him belong here. He felt pathetic. Even though he was 19 years old, he acted like a baby and a coward. "Aah!!" He winced in pain while raising his hand. He forgot that he was beaten just an h
It took a while to calm down Xavier. Valentina noticed one thing whenever he is triggered by his phobia, he murmurs a few words like ,'leave me' and many more. Valentina was now more determined to dig out his past. Valentina sighed as Xavier slept while hugging her waist and snuggling his face on her chest. Valentina didn't have any other options than running her hands in his hair. Xavier jerked up his face from her chest as her stomach growled due to hunger. "Sorry!" Xavier whispered huskily before pecking her lips and getting up. He wasn't in a mood to go outside after the incident so he decided to have their breakfast in the room itself. Before he could make a call, Valentina tugged on his shirt, "Can we have our breakfast outside?" Valentina asked softly with a smile. She thought maybe some fresh air would freshen up hi
° Xavier POV ° I stood up from the bed after I was assured she was asleep. I didn't want to encounter any of her questions before I'm ready. I went towards the balcony and leaned onto the railing. I fished out a cigarette packet from my pocket and lit one. I usually don't smoke unless I'm stressed. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out just to find the old man to call me. With a frown plastered on my face, I answered the call. "Did you both reach safely?" My frown increased more at his concern. I thought he would have his men tagged along with us. "I'll surely not send my man on my grandson's honeymoon." The word grandson felt so good from his mouth after such a long time. Covering my shock state, I decided to ask him the questions I had swimming in my mind, "You knew about Valentina!" &
