°Xavier's POV°
She is the one I have always been waiting for. My little angel, my little doll. The one who accepted my shortcomings. Loved my insecurities, made me feel happy about myself. How the hell I couldn't recognize her? She was in front of me all the time. How I didn't recognize the soft touch of her lips against my lips?
°Flashback°
"Sir, these are the bags!!"
The bodyguard didn't enter the room seeing my slide glare. I placed Valentina down on the bed and covered her with the duvet. I kissed on her forehead and patted her hair before looking at the bodyguard, nodding at him to come inside.
Along with him, two more bodyguards came in with our luggage and bags. Valentina's backpack fell down from their hand making me squint my eyes at him. He can't even take care of a simple bag!!
I took the bag and dust
Xavier couldn't muster up the courage to go inside their suite. He felt like a teenage boy who was going to see his crush for the first time. After the revelation, Xavier felt more protective of Valentina. The thought of her being in danger because of her father didn't leave his mind for a second. A faint smile came upon his lips thinking of their first meet. No, not at the marriage altar. The very first time when two insecure people met each other just to feel like two normal people. °Flashback° 19 years old Xavier sat down on the bench outside his campus. The garden area was beautiful to such an extent that he never wanted to leave that place. He felt like weak people like him belong here. He felt pathetic. Even though he was 19 years old, he acted like a baby and a coward. "Aah!!" He winced in pain while raising his hand. He forgot that he was beaten just an h
It took a while to calm down Xavier. Valentina noticed one thing whenever he is triggered by his phobia, he murmurs a few words like ,'leave me' and many more. Valentina was now more determined to dig out his past. Valentina sighed as Xavier slept while hugging her waist and snuggling his face on her chest. Valentina didn't have any other options than running her hands in his hair. Xavier jerked up his face from her chest as her stomach growled due to hunger. "Sorry!" Xavier whispered huskily before pecking her lips and getting up. He wasn't in a mood to go outside after the incident so he decided to have their breakfast in the room itself. Before he could make a call, Valentina tugged on his shirt, "Can we have our breakfast outside?" Valentina asked softly with a smile. She thought maybe some fresh air would freshen up hi
° Xavier POV ° I stood up from the bed after I was assured she was asleep. I didn't want to encounter any of her questions before I'm ready. I went towards the balcony and leaned onto the railing. I fished out a cigarette packet from my pocket and lit one. I usually don't smoke unless I'm stressed. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out just to find the old man to call me. With a frown plastered on my face, I answered the call. "Did you both reach safely?" My frown increased more at his concern. I thought he would have his men tagged along with us. "I'll surely not send my man on my grandson's honeymoon." The word grandson felt so good from his mouth after such a long time. Covering my shock state, I decided to ask him the questions I had swimming in my mind, "You knew about Valentina!" &
Xavier was aware of the fact that they can't consummate their marriage now. Even though the attraction between them said something else. Xavier better knew to control before he did something with the flow.Xavier wanted to make every day of the honeymoon a memorable day for Valentina. He wants to make different new memories with Valentina. New memories of their new life. He decided to do something different for her today.A big fat smile graced his lips as an idea struck his mind. He immediately took upon the work. He decided to make the arrangements all by himself instead of taking help. After a whole hard work of 4 hours, Xavier was finally done with his night plans. He was about to leave for the hotel when something caught his eyes. Specifically two small kids. The boy being the eldest and the girl being the younger one. They both were having ice cream while the boy looked at the little girl with hap
Valentina sequaled in surprise when Xavier tied a white cloth around her eyes. "Let's go," Xavier whispered in her ears, while lowering himself. He stealthily placed a kiss just below her ear that made her shudder. Xavier bent down and picked her up in his arms in bridal style. It took them 20 minutes to reach the place. Valentina was shocked at how for straight 20 minutes, he carried her in his arms. She steadied herself when Xavier placed her feet down on the ground. He went behind her and opened the tied cloth slowly doubling her curiosity. The moment Valentina opened her eyes, her mouth hung open and jaw fell down at the decorations in front of her. Her eyes started filling up with tears and she turned back, hugged Xavier in nanoseconds. Xavier hid his face in the crook of her and smiled against her skin, "Did you like it?"
Xavier and Valentina were busy busking in each other's arms after having their dinner. Xavier couldn't keep his hands away from Valentina as he held her close to his heart and kept on kissing her forehead. Their sweet moment broke when the sound of a phone call erupted in the comfortable silent room. Xavier groaned and picked up the phone. He looked down and Valentina half asleep. He silently went out of the bed to the balcony. "Speak!!" Xavier said to the other side and heard a sharp intake of breath, "You need to come back!!" "Why?" Xavier asked calmly. He knew something was brewing up. His gut feeling said so. Lan exhaled his stuck breath hearing Xavier's calm voice, "Last month, we had signed a contract with a male model and was supposed to work from next month. But now the model
"It's impossible. Valentina has never been close to any guy other than you in her childhood. Even after you left, she immersed herself in books and studies. No way, her picture will be with someone. And Ethan Taylor, I never heard of this man ever." Mrs. Constance paced back and forth in the room. Xavier sat down on the couch, deep in his thoughts whilst elder master, Mr. Night is busy thinking about something. As soon as Ethan Taylor and his uncle left Xavier's office, Xavier didn't waste a second before marching off to Mrs. Constance's house which she brought yesterday. It was still unarranged but right now discussing this matter is more important. "There has to be some link. Ethan was addressing Valentina as his fiance with whom he is about to get married in two months from now. What's more confusing is, he has her childhood picture. Shouldn't he have her present picture to keep with him?"
The morning came soon. Valen was all set for her first day at Uni. Excited and terrified, she somehow got inside the car and was quickly shifted to another seat which was Xavier's lap. Valentina didn't say anything and hugged him by his neck. Xavier chuckled slightly at his little baby. He patted her back all the way to the University. When they came in front of the university, Valentina refused to leave Xavier and get inside the university. "Baby you need to go. I promise I'll be there soon to get you." Xavier felt like a parent who was consoling his kid to go to school. But in his case it wasn't his kid but his own wife. "Promise!!" "Promise!!" Xavier placed a firm kiss on her forehead and then continued pecking her lips until a wide smile spread on Valentina's face. She waved him bye and went out to venture t
