Mackenzie and Chase returned to the Richard's ward, laughing with a cup of hot chocolate in each hand. As Chase moved to push the door open, Mackenzie started to walk in, still laughing. The world around Mackenzie was crumbling at an alarming rate. She tried to hold onto something - Chase's legs, the window, the driver's seat, but nothing was enough.
