My boss wants to see you

Had she expected that Alpha Nelson would clear the rumor? 

Yes, she has. 

Very much so. Unfortunately, life doesn't seem to go as planned.   

A close-up of her face was shown. Anyone who knew her would recognize her after seeing this photo.  

 With such clarity, even if she denied it and said that the woman in the photo was not her, no one would believe it.   

“Wow. I never knew you were such a big shot, Grace.” Kiana said.   

Grace took a deep breath, turned around, and sat back down at her desk under the envious gaze of her colleagues with pale faces.   

Just by listening to the chatter, Grace could not help but shiver a little, while raising her hand to cover her forehead and closing her eyes to calm her mind.  

 “Grace, are you alright? You are shivering.”   Kiana's concerned voice sounded again, but Grace only shook her head. 

 Without a word, she switched on her computer on her desk, and in the next few minutes, every search engine had the same headline.  

 It was trending and the latest and hottest news.   

"Divine's Group Fianceé."

They mostly took the photos from the corner of the room where it seemed as if they were hugging or kissing.   

As if they had taken it unaware when it was not. 

The media dared to offend Alpha Nelson and ignored his previous warnings.   

They had exaggerated everything. Before yesterday she had never met Alpha Nelson, even when they were rich he was someone not easily seen.   

He was a legend in most people's eyes. A role model.   

Grace banged her hand on the table in annoyance. She doesn't want such trouble.   

Especially when the Divine family would have seen this and then brought trouble to her small family life just like in those movies.   Maybe they would offer her money and she would be on her way.   

The corner of her mouth twitched and she stood up. 

 “Regarding this matter, since we are all members of the media we would know how reporters work.   

Some current affairs and hot news are not even true. We should not take this matter seriously and everyone should head back to work.”  

 Without waiting for her to finish, Kiana opened another video that had been posted on the internet.

 Victor's voice was suddenly heard from the speakers.  

 “What would a highly renowned CEO be found in an area like this? I don't believe you.   

You are just trying to deceive us. If it was the Alpha Nelson Divine I know, he would probably be dining in the world's biggest hotel not a four-star hotel like this.”   

“I suggested to him that we meet here because it has been a long time since we saw each other and he was around the area. He didn't mind so.   

I suggest you all leave before you get into more trouble than you already are in. 

This is a private session between two couples. It's not nice to have people staring at me."  

   " Everyone's gaze was once focused on her again." Most of them were fawning over her and giving her special attention.   

Her blood ran cold when the video kept on playing over and over again. 

She glared at Kiana who just shrugged innocently.   

“Awww, you could not wait to see your fiance and decided to do it in the closest place nearby. That's so sweet. 

Grace was on the verge of going crazy. She wished the ground would open up and just swallow her.   

She didn't even wait for anything more, she just walked out of the room and went outside to get some fresh air.

  She had only just stepped outside when her cell phone vibrated, she took her phone only to see that it was Victor.   

She had tried so hard to not think about him anymore, but just one call from him could make her heartthrob in pain.   

Grace considered picking up the call, her finger hovered over the accept button but she didn't pick up and just watched it ring until it stopped.   

The phone was silent for about 10 seconds then it rang again. Still Victor.  

 At this moment, Grace was in no mood to look at her colleagues who were sneaking glances at her as they walked by.   

She glanced at her watch waiting for time to pass by.   

When her phone rang again. Without looking at the caller's ID she picked up the call this time.  

 “What do you want, Victor? Haven't you hurt me enough? I thought I wasn't worth it. Go date your Cindy Rodericquez and just leave me alone!”   

Her throat was sore, and her voice sounded hoarse. At the same time, she sounded slightly angry and harsh.   

After a moment of silence, a clear and melodious voice came from the other side, 

“Miss Valdez?” 

  Grace's eyes widened. She looked at the call list and saw it was an unknown number.   

Her expression softened a bit as she quickly put the phone back on her ear and apologized. 

“I am sorry, but may I know who this is please?"  

 “It's me.  The  PA of Alpha Nelson."   the person said.

" Alpha Nelson's PA?"  Grace asked with shock writing all over her face. 

Yes. Mrs. Valdez. The person said confirming that whatever she heard was correct. 

"I know I offended your Boss please tell him I am really sorry about what happened and I will do everything within my powers to stop the post from spreading." Grace said with fear written all over her. 

"Sorry Miss."  But I don't think that is the reason why my boss asked me to call. The person said. 

"Please, if it is money he wants please tell him to give me more time and I promise to compensate him for what my ex boyfriend did. Grace said again." 

Madam, please. That is not why I called. "I just want to inform you that Alpha Nelson wants to see you." The person said. 

"Me? Grace asked still in shock."  

Yes Miss. "My boss wants to meet up with you."  

"He said  you should meet him at  La Creme club." The person said and ended the call before Grace could reply.
