LEAH

“Are you sure you don't remember anything?” I stared blankly at Dante, but I couldn't clearly remember anything, I couldn't even remember who the child was.

“I don't, everything is fuggy” panic floods my system as I tried to remember but absolutely nothing came to my mind which scared the shit out of me

“Nathan!” A sad woman's voice echoed in the woods and I turned around immediately to see a woman in tears as she ran to the young boy who was still shaking in fear, “... Nathan, thank the goddess, I… I'm so sorry your majesties” She picked the child without waiting for a response and ran to was the pack and my heart beat rang in my ear.

“What's going on? What happened?” Dante looked dazed and his breath shaken.

“Everything is fine. You're…"

“Dante…" I warned as I felt rising anger that I didn't even know was there to begin with.

“You almost killed him…" My heart dropped, and my head immediately snapped to his mother that ran with him over her shoulder's, but he was still looking in our direction, looking at me “... Elaina said you were going to kill someone and I saw you looking at the child with a murderous instinct like you were going to kill him” I shook my head.

“That can't be right, why don't I remember a… Victor…" The name flashed in my head and the memories of the moon goddess in my dreams haunted me, but I couldn't remember attacking the young lad.

“He ran away” My head snapped to Dante and I looked at him dead in the eyes

“What do you mean by he ran away? I was meant to kill him? He was meant to die, why didn't you kill him if I couldn't?”

“I couldn't” He breathed out helpless and a mix of emotions crossed his eyes before everything went blank and dark again

“Dante…" I reached out to him but he pulled away immediately.

“I tried everything. My claws, my fangs, and even a sword, nothing killed him. I thought he was dead but turns out he wasn't, and I realized why. I can't kill him, only can and only you will”

“The moon goddess asked me to kill him” he looked at me like I had the horns on my head

“You met the goddess?”

“I did, but she wouldn't tell me anything, just to kill Victor that it was my mission, that I had my powers”

“Do you remember chanting?”

“Yes, I didn't know what I was saying. I couldn't tell what I was saying at all” Dante looked at me with sympathy and that's when I realized his skin slowly becoming pale and his left hand trembled, “Dante…"

“Go home, I'll be there soon enough” He took a deep breath before getting up, and I realized his side was bleeding heavily

“Dante… Goodness, Dante!” I reached for him before he could fall to the ground, “Dante!”

“Go home and send someone over” His eyes were closing gently, and he sounded quiet and without thinking I slapped him hard across the face

“Keep your eyes open, or I will kill you myself!” I screamed at him and a corner of his lips curved into a smile.

I should kill this man when he is not dying, that way will be easier and more fun.

I used the energy I had left and pushed him upon my shoulders while supporting his weight with my with waist, I knew this as man was big, but this was an entirely different and very heavy

I began to walk while dragging him along, it became hard to breathe but honestly bi didn't care enough to stop. I continued to drag him and I noticed I was close to the pack house. My heart shattered into millions of pieces at the bodies scattered all over the place.

It wasn't just warriors that out their lives on the line but rogues, hell out were more of rogues than them, yet my heart grieves for my people

“Help!” I screamed and hit Dante's head for him to stay awake, and he muttered something under his breath which I didn't catch, but honestly, I didn't care what he said as long as he was awake.

I had tied his bleeding rib position to stop the bleeding, but I doubt a simple cloth will do the trick and I suck at first aid it was never something I did. The blood pour had reduced there was no doubt, but I fear he had lost a lot more than he should before I noticed.

“Dante?” I questioned, and he nudged me a bit with his head, almost pushing me off guard, “... Yes, I called you I didn't ask you to send us to square one of lifting you up, mind you this is very difficult!” I hissed, and he chuckled a bit before groaning in pain, “... Don't laugh, it will just worsen things!” I snapped and he nods quietly while I pulled him.

There was still no one in sight, I didn't know how long we had been out here or how long the battle had ended, but there was no doubt that people were looking for their loved once, and we were only at the outskirt of the palace

“Help!” I screamed again, but there was no answer, sweat nourished my forehead like a second skin and I felt my legs going numb, but I needed to keep going “... Help!” I screamed again.

“Your majesty?” A voice echoed from afar and my head snapped up as I waved with my free hand, “... They're over there, hurry!!” He yelled and as if my body just registered it was tired, my legs gave up, and I held on to his head so he wouldn't be injured any further.

My back slammed against the floor will Dante fell upon me, causing me to gasp for air, it felt as though he was paralyzed.

I looked down at his rib and the string that held my heart together cut, the blood was purely black, there was no doubt that this as poison and I couldn't tell what it was

His body's weight was suddenly pulled off me and I gasped for air and the nurse tried to nurse me, but I refused

“He was poison, attend to him immediately. He must not die!”

“But your majesty, you're…"

“If my husband dies I will hang you by a chain and slaughter your family right in front of you” I growled in a voice I couldn't even recognize, but I meant every word I had said

“Yes your majesty” Tears filled my eyes as I watched the medical attendant work on him, as the began to extract the poison and just when I thought there might just be hope

His body began to tremble immensely. I lifted my eyebrows as confusion and panic settled in.

“What's going on? Martha? What the hell is going on? Why is he trembling?” A guard helped me on my feet and my body weight rested on him.

“We need to take him to the hospital, now” The worry that laced her voice had my heart drumming in my ears “... Where is the car? The car was meant to be here minutes ago!” She yelled, and her eyes met mine for a split second, and she gave me a sad smile. “Hans, take the queen away”

“What? No! I command you to keep me down at once! Hans!!!" I struggled, but my limbs were too weak to fight and tears rolled down my cheek like droplets of rain against a window glass.

“I'm sorry, my queen” It all happened too fast, too soon and just like that something came in contact with my head and darkness took me before I could hold the light

LEAH I took a deep breath as thoughts ran through my head, it couldn't be possible. I knew Darren always loved the feel of power, but Victor? He couldn't possibly be working with him or was this Sierra's doing?“What in the world are you doing here?” My voice echoed in the hall causing a chill to run down my spine as I stared at her with anger bubbling at the tips of my finger. LEAH Five years of devotion, five years of pain, five years of endless surgeries and this is how he repays me? My husband was coming into the house with his hand around another woman’s waist as he kissed her. She is young and beautiful, and I could swear I have seen her in some magazines. She was everything I was not. Slim, with gorgeous blonde hair and pale white skin. While I had sacrificed all of my inheritance to my husband so he could build his pack. I had undergone so many surgeries so that I could give him an heir, and now I was overweight due to all of the stress. I had sacrificed everything for Darren Strong and this is how he repays me? My mother in law was walking beside him with a smirk as they came in through the front door. Darren had been gone for a while to a conference with the lycan king. The last thing I expected was for him to come back with another woman. I overheard them speaking. “I signed the contract,” he told his mother excitedly. “We are going to get t

LEAH “A divorce?” She laughed, and my hands itched me to not slap her across the face again. “Yes, a divorce.” My voice shook. I always had hope that perhaps Darren was going to see how much I liked him and he was going to fall in love with me. I did everything for him so he could like me back, but with his mother whispering in his ear, he did not. I never in my wildest dreams thought he was going to do me this dirty. I knew he might never feel the way I felt for him, but I thought he respected me. I blinked back the tears that were threatening to drop because I did not want her to see me cry. None of them were worth my tears. “Who do you think is going to marry you?” She raised a brow. “You are fat, ugly and barren. You do not have an inheritance to lure any alpha to marry you. Do you want to live as a rogue?” “I am not going to live as a rogue.” I hissed. To be frank, I did not know what I was going to do. I did not have anyone else left to help me, but I also kn

LEAH I got a free ride from Darren’s pack to the lycan king’s pack, which took about two hours. A couple had taken pity on me when they saw that I couldn’t even walk well, and they offered to take me to my destination. “Thank you so much.” I thanked them as I alighted from the car and got into the palace. Before my parents died, they had told me so many stories about the lycan king’s palace. They had promised me that we were going to go some time, but unfortunately, we did not get to before they died. Or brutally murdered, rather. I swallowed hard as I remembered them, but put it at the back of my head. I needed to get what I came here for first. I went over to the gate where I assumed that I had to submit my name. There was quite a line there which made me feel a little bit less alone. Thank Goodness I was not the only one going through the pain of divorce. Most people were here in twos, but my husband literally kicked me out. Fuck him, fuck the palace, and most of all fuck

LEAHI stood there completely frozen as I looked at him. Even if something in me was fighting to believe it was true, I couldn't. I knew my mother-in-law hated me, but she couldn't kill me, right?“I… I'm sorry. I doubt that's possible. I would have died.”“Are you saying I'm lying?”My heart slammed against my chest as fear laced through every fiber of my bones. I couldn't make him angry. His reputation was bad enough, I couldn't let him see me as a problem, or I'd just get killed, which was something I was not ready for.“... Sit down, Leah.”Were the stories about him true? Was he trying to cover his true face?I didn't know what in the world was happening, but I didn't like it. I sat down quietly while his eyes burned holes into my forehead. I refused to look up at him. I hated that I could barely concentrate while he was watching me. But why would he choose to marry me of all people?“You aren't impotent? LEAHI immediately moved when I realized he wasn't on the couch. When the lights came on, I saw him sitting in that same corner, like a predator watching its prey. For some reason, I let out a sigh of relief when I should have been running for my life.“What's wrong?” I asked, sitting on the ground where I had jumped to. He continued to look at me.“You've been restless the entire night. Tell me something I don't know about you.” His voice was so calm that it seemed impossible it belonged to the same person who had been glaring at me earlier.“There's nothing that I'm willing to share.” He looked at me carefully before walking up to me. Though I feared what he was about to do, I remained still.“When I said I wanted to sleep with you, I didn't mean it in the vulgar way.” He picked me up from the floor, and the impact of his skin against mine sent a tingle down my spine.I refused to speak, so I wouldn't make a fool of myself.“Lay down and sleep quietly. I had left the room two hours earlier to deal with tons of paper works, but there was no doubt that this feeling was Leah's Without thinking, I rushed. Taking a swift left before finding the door that led to her, my heart was drumming in my ear, but I didn't care, I could feel her uneasiness and I didn't like it. I opened the doors and saw her drenched in sweat, her body pale, her eyes widened in fear. “Are you ok?” I blurted out and facepalmed myself as I walked to her side while trying to remain composed, but I certainly was not. “Why does…" She trial off and tears rolled down her cheek. “Hey!” I reached for her, but her head was already going for the headboard and her eyes went shut “Leah?” I held her head and her body went limb in an instant My heart raced uncontrollably as I shook her, trying to wake her up, but her skin was turning cold and paler by the second, I wanted to scream for help when I realized a faint glo

LEAHThe air was thicker that night. It pressed against my skin like invisible fingers, cold and insistent. Sleep had become a myth, an illusion that slipped further away the more I chased it. My dreams, when they came were fragmented, filled with blood, fire, and eyes that glowed like dying stars. But tonight, there were no dreams. Only the call.It started as a pull deep in my chest, like a tether yanking me from the safety of my bed. I sat up slowly, heart racing, as the soundless whisper continued to tug at me, beckoning, urgent, ancient. I knew this wasn’t a hallucination. Not anymore. Not after what happened with the caretaker.I got up, pulled a cloak around my shoulders, and stepped into the dim corridor, barefoot. The castle was sleeping, its halls soaked in shadow. Only the flickering torches dared to breathe.I didn’t know where I was going only that my feet knew. I moved as though possessed, guided by something older than logic, deeper than fear.Down the west wing.Past
