FOUR DAYS BEFORE THE COMBAT
Cynthia felt her guts tighten as she came face to face with the door of her family house. She heaved loudly and steadied her breath. She had run a long distance from the forest to her former home which was on the outskirts of the Pack because everyone was scared of what her family would do if they got unleashed. It was a little riverside home that her father inherited from his mother back when they had to run to safety in hard times when fights were taking place around the Pack.
When her body wasn't palpitating from adrenaline anymore, she placed her hand on the doorknob and opened the house. It was quiet, but they were all present, and alive. She felt her eyes water up as they all looked up at her with hungry and angry eyes. Her once affectionate mother growled angrily at her. Cynthia couldn't recognize her anymore. Her once soft eyes were darkened now, filled with dread and hunger for homicide.
"Mama..." Cynthia gasped quietly as she leaned back on the door, shutting it close. She let the tears run down her cheeks as she stared at them with pity. Her two brothers- who were just little innocent babies the last time she held them in her arms- were now full-grown men that growled and howled for human blood and flesh every single day.
"Kendrick, Scott." She whispered, turning her gaze to them but they barely even looked her way. There was not even a chance that they would remember their names after they heal from the hex.
She wiped away her tears and tied her shoulder-length blonde hair with a pen. She removed one of her many ear piercings and carefully made a hole on the frame of both glasses. She placed them both on the chain and when they came in contact with each other, they produced a bright yellow light. She squinted as she got up to her feet and walked towards her mother, who was the closest to her. She needed her mother more than anything now.
She took in a breath before she placed the chain on a stick and lunged it towards her mother. She hung the chain quietly around her neck to avoid her from tearing it off with her incredibly strong bite which was about a hundred times worse than that of a normal werewolf. A hexed wolf was even more dangerous than a vampire.
Cynthia brought out the clay pot from her pocket where she kept them so they'll not fall out. She took a few steps forward but kept a reasonable distance between them before she emptied the powder on her mother, which made her release a deafening growl. Taken aback, Cynthia rushed towards the door for safety as her mother writhed and cried in pain.
"Mama!" She yelled as her mother finally gave up. She dropped lifelessly on the wall that was supporting her from behind as blood-like foam started pouring out of her mouth and nose. "Oh my God." She shrieked in horror, covering her mouth with both hands.
She convulsed violently and gagged out a little more blood before she opened her eyes. Her real eyes.
"Mama?" Cynthia said incredulously. She couldn't believe her eyes. Her heart filled with so much light as she rushed towards her and quickly unlocked all the heavy locks that tied her.
Cynthia gave her mother the most bone-crushing bear hug she could offer. She held her so tight that she could feel the pulse of her mother on hers. This gave her more joy than anything ever could, not even her mate, Logan. She traded her loyalty in exchange for her family, and that is alright. It was her family. The only ones she would ever have.
"Cynthia..." her mother croaked. "What's going on? Why does the house smell like this?" She asked getting up from the floor.
"Mama, calm down. I'm going to get you hot water and some food and fresh clothes. Just wait here okay? Please don't go anywhere Mama, I'll get you all you need." Cynthia said, giving her one last hug.
But she lied. She was going to get a cure for the rest of her family. Her brothers and her father. She missed them so much. She was going to make them healthy once again and protect them against the ugly sides of living with a Pack. She was going to keep them in that house for as long as it takes for her to be Luna.
She got up and headed towards the door. When she got out, she was surprised to see the sun was just rising. She spent her entire night taking a walk through the forest of Lichen Pack, which resulted in one of the most terrifying yet best days of her life.
She got to the Pack, which was a fifteen minutes walking distance away from her riverside home. She was going to renovate the house by herself and make it more comfortable for them. There wouldn't be heat anymore, she would buy them a luxury air conditioner. There would be no more mosquitoes or insects. She would build them a modern anti-insect fence around the house.
She would give them the world.
"Cynthia." She heard Logan say behind her and her heart dropped all the way to her toes.
"Logan."
"Where are you going?" He asked, trying to pull her close to him but she resisted. He was going to smell the blood on her and something would be fishy. She couldn't risk it now. Not after pledging her loyalty to Kevin. Her family was her top priority now.
"I'll meet you later at your chambers sugar cone." She asked backing away into the crowd and she blew him a kiss which he caught immediately and pressed to his chest. The once dry-ice cold Logan was now lovesick.
She got up to Kevin's chambers through the back door where nobody uses and met him making out with the black cat witch. How he got her past the wolves would always be a mystery to her.
"You can continue what the hell you are doing now later. I need you to give me the rest of the charm and tell me what do, Kevin." She said, startling them.
"Geez, don't know what knocking courtesy means?" He said, pulling his pants back onto his waist. The witch got off him and wiped the red lipstick that was smudged all over his face with her fingers.
"I need you to tell me now. I don't have the time."
"Not so fast spitfire, I am not giving you anything until after the work is done," Kevin said getting off the bed. He got up to his drawer and unlocked it with a key. He brought out a little ziplock nylon and tossed it over to her.
"This is wolf born. You will mix it on the eve of the combat in his drink and you would not tell a single soul about this. Either that or you don't get the charms."
Cynthia sucked in a deep breath. This would be hard, but not impossible. It would be for her family, and she would do far more than this for them.
"We have a deal..."
Celia watched as her master, Logan kept wincing and writhing in pain. He has been like that for the past few days. She had kept him in her house. Due to the amount of wolfbane he had taken in, it made it hard for his outer wounds to heal as fast as a werewolf’s wound normally does. Her master has now been declared wanted by Alpha Morris, his father. Losing the combat was not something everyone expected. Logan is known for his power to destroy a herd of hefty werewolves, and just like that, he lost the most important combat of his life. The Lichen pack has turned into a mockery which was a disgrace to Alpha Morris, as a leader and also a father. He was deeply disappointed and angry with him. But when his other son, Kevin stepped into the ring and defeated the rest of the werewolves, Alpha Morris knew that he h
“Why are you treating a traitor with sympathy?” The Alpha voice thundered, his voice reverberating through the walls of the house. Logan lifted his eyes to meet that of his angry father. He lost his voice as he watched his father approach them. He had never seen his father that angry before and he doesn’t like the fact that he is the reason for his father’s anger. The Alpha flung him away from the embrace of his mother, making him hit his head in the process. The wound bled with full force, wetting the entire band that held it in place. He writhed in pain. “You see the coward you call a son. Can you see how he winced and writhed in pain like a lady?” His father queried while the Luna sobbed more into her hands. “If I had known that you were going to tu
The week lasted him forever. The nightfall weather in the Lichen pack was extremely beautiful in the late hour. The light waves of breeze prickled Logan’s skin as he walked down back to the log cabin. He was used to living in a small house with only Celia as his companion. She would come to him in the morning and help him with his needs. The fire was dying in the fireplace and the glowing embers barely lit up the small room. The wind howled; the snowstorm was raging outside the small building, Logan couldn't help but to admit how much he hated it.The room warmer wasn't even helping him to get warm. "Maybe having a bigger one might help better." He thought, pulling the blanket more.He sipped the cup of coffee he had made, he is getting so cozy in the house and now
“Celia,” Logan said softly from a distance. He found her crouching down on a pent-up pile of dead leaves. The sun shone brightly as it was just a bit past noon, but the forest remained dark. It was always dark. Someone said it was the fact that the witches lived in there and planted some spell that protected them from the harsh weather, and others believed it was their God that protected it. Whoever God is.“Master.” She exclaimed, getting up from her position. She straightened her posture and put the ax she brought over her shoulder.“You should go back home, Celia. I’ll be alright, I promise.” He said, but she didn’t budge.“I told you it was my duty to serve you, Sir. You are the only master I would e
Cynthia felt a deep empty hole in the pit of her stomach. She felt restless every night and morning when she would wake up without her former mate on the side of the bed, cuddling her and giving her hard deep thrusts until she couldn’t feel her guts anymore. Logan did things to her nobody could ever do, and she missed him. She loved him. He gave her joy. But seeing her family get better by the passing day, gave her even more joy. When she undid the hex on her father and brothers; as Kevin had promised, she felt the absolute peak of happiness someone could possibly ever reach. She had never felt more content and ecstatic and emotional about anything like this. She hugged them so tight that they had to beg to be peeled away from her. “Dad, Kendrick, Scott.” She looked at them with uncontrollable tears pouring o
“Why the hell did you hex my family?” Cynthia thundered as she kicked down the already loose wooden door of Logan’s log cabin, making him and Celia jolt up from their positions. Celia was cleaning up his wounds for the last time since it was healing perfectly and there was no sign of infection. He had adjusted to eating their low-quality foods and their water that wasn’t as clean as the one he used to take back in the Palace. He was slowly adapting to being an Omega- not just by name but by nature and physique. “What the hell is wrong with you Cynthia?” He yelled back as he grabbed the half-tied bandage away from Celia and motioned for her to excuse them. She muttered a silent okay before she did as she was told. “What do you mean by what the hell is
12 Years Ago (Flash back) The last bonfires in the month of December were the best and most memorable events held in the Lichen Pack. It included a lot of roasted pork and wine. The vampires too were being fed openly with the blood of perfidious and disloyal members of the Pack, or the criminals that were found were charged with treachery. Tonight was one of the best ones yet. There were few humans coming from the city of Chicago to celebrate with Alpha Morris for the victory of dominating the three neighboring Packs, and now, he was their king too. It was his dream to do so. But they made it hard for him, which turned out now to be a mammoth problem on their side. It was impossible to lose when you have the vampires and witches backing you up. He gave th
12 years ago (Flash back continuation) The wind was not blowing the night of Parachal’s funeral- for Logan, but it was windy. Very windy. He saw one or two fleeting whirlwinds before they arrived at the graveyard that was just behind the Lichen’s Pack forest. He couldn’t find air in his lungs nor could he breathe in some to help him survive. All he felt in his lungs were anguish. In fact, all he felt in every single atom his body was made up of was deep agony and torture. This was the first time young Logan was experiencing something like this. The pain of losing someone. He felt like ripping his heart out of its cage just to stop feeling what he was feeling in it. They just lost their virginity to each other, and just like that, she was gone the next second. He wondered every night since Parachal left them what he had done
Logan was so annoyed with Gamma that he threatened to remove him from his post if he didn't produce Kevin. The guards were shattered all over the Packs in the quest to get him and somewhere sent to the human world too.But they all came back empty-handed. This angered Logan who alleged that some of his elected had collided with him to cause havoc.Mike and the maid walked in when Logan was so annoyed.“Father!” Mike called.Logan, who was in thought, looked up and saw his pub.“Mike!” he called.“Father, don’t be distracted. Your brother isn’t in the Packs. He was in a far land. But be prepared for an attack today.” Mike said.“Attack? Who?” Logan asked in surprise. He knew that Mike was only saying what he saw spiritually.“Your brother and Alpha Benjamin, the former Alpha of Oasis of Pashtun, were planning to bring in an Army. Just set up and face them,” Mike said with a mature mind.“Okay Mike, thank you,” Logan said as he smiled. He now realized that Mike was a gift for him from t
Kevin kept running until he felt an arrow drive into his leg. He halted to gaze at his invader. Since the arrow won't affect him. He pulled the arrow off his feet. As he gazed in the invader's direction, he was shocked to discover who it was.“Alpha Benjamin!” he called as his mouth opened in shock.“I am still wondering how my rival came under my lion den?” Alpha Benjamin mocked.“So this is where you have been?” Kevin asked.“I just ask you a question before you ask yours. Was it because I used a pet arrow? I have the full arrow to divide your heart.” Alpha Benjamin threatened as he brought out an arrow and set it toward Kevin’s heart.“Don’t shoot!” Kevin pleaded.“Now tell me what made you come to Negra town?” he asked as he lowered the arrow.“I don’t… know.” Kevin stammered.“You don’t know? I wanna shoot your heart and send your head over to the stupid father of yours.” Alpha Benjamin threatened with seriousness. He had vowed to kill anyone from the Lichen Pack. And seeing Kevi
The next day was the combat day. Everyone prepared for the event. There were many merriments provided. Every werewolf wanted Alpha Logan to be the head of the Alpha because they respected him and also loved himNo one would want to miss the occasion except for Kevin who was having a sexual escapade with the witch. They had sex every hour and none of them could want to leave each other presence.“Since today is combat night, will you be going to the Mansion tomorrow?” Kevin asked.“Yeah, I think you will accompany me but hide,” she suggested. Kevin was happy, he had wanted to suggest this.“Yeah, I will do that,” he said.“You are such a darling,” she said and kissed him. They had another sex until they slept off.**The hall for the combat was full to bum. There was the Alphas introduction and then the introduction of those who will work with them in each Pack.Beatrice was shocked that Logan had added her father's name to his list. He had asked for her suggestion on the list but she
The witch watched as Kevin ran toward the Lichen Pack. She chuckled. She had gotten rid of her rival. She could now have him all to herself. She needed to get him before he got to the Lichen Pack. So she appeared to him, grabbed his hand, disappeared with him and appeared in her bedroom with him.Kevin wasn’t shocked at the way he was transported but he was shocked to meet himself in the same bedroom he had sex with the witch. He twirled around and saw her standing by the corner watching him.“Why do you bring me here?” he asked.“I brought you here because I don’t want you to attack your brother.” She said and her statement annoyed Kevin.“Why should I not? They just killed my mate.” He lamented.“No one killed your mate. I did.” The witch said and Kevin was shocked.“What why!!” he asked.“She needs to go so you can have your post back. If she is alive. You will never be an Alpha.” The witch lied. Kevin stared at her in disbelief.“I don’t understand you.” He said.“Her curse was so
Cynthia was so annoyed when Kevin walked out of the witch's house. It was evident that he had a nice time with her. Because his behavior was the same way he did when sexually satisfied. All the questions on her mind were unsaid. She wanted them to get back to the house before she could ask him the questions. What they came for was not even discussed in her presence.Immediately they got to the place they now live. Cynthia stood in front of Kevin.“Will you tell me what you and she were doing inside her house?” She yelled at him.Kevin only stared at her. She looked disgusted in front of him. The word of the witch about her curse kept ranging on his head. He could never answer to a curse mate, he thought. He ignored her, smirked disgustingly, and walked to the bathroom they shared.Cynthia fumed in anger. She stood thinking about what she had done to warrant such behavior from him. Was it because of the witches’ death? She asked herself. “No! It couldn’t be.” She said to herself. Then
When Logan and Beatrice woke up, it was ready at two pm. The first thing that welcomed them was the crumbling of their stomachs.“Hee!” Beatrice groaned.“Sorry, dear. I will get you some food to eat.” He said and she nodded. He walked to the door and saw a guard.“Get me some food in the kitchen,'' he commanded them.“Yeah, my lord. We have found Beta Kevin and his mate.” The guard said. And Logan was annoyed.“You must be the one who confirmed him as the Beta, get away from here. I will give you five minutes to get the food here.” He said and the guard dashed away.Logan went back in. and laid beside Beatrice.A maid walked in with the guard and food.Logan beckoned them to serve them in bed. And they obeyed.“Get word to the other new Alphas to see me in an hour's time,” Logan said to the guard. And he dashed out.The maid waited until they finished eating so she would pack the plates.**The Alphas gathered and concluded to get Kevin a house among the elite of Oasis of Pashtun wit
The guard went to the Gamma and told him that Kevin and Cynthia were in the inner hall. The Gamma who had to send the guards to search for them was surprised.“Get them here.” He commanded.“Sir, they were naked.”“Naked? Both of them.”“Yes, and they were kinda sick. I mean weak.” The guard said.“Okay, lead me to them,” he said.“They were hungry. Beta Kevin requested food and water.” The guard said.“Okay, let us go,” the Gamma said and they walked toward the kitchen.“Is there any cooked food available?” the Gamma asked the maids who were sitting gossiping.“Yeah, but it is for the new Alpha and Beta Kevin. They hadn’t been seen today,” the maid's head said.“Get me Beta Kevin and his mate the food.” The gamma commanded and they packed the food for him.The Gamma and the guard left. They walked to the hall to meet Kevin whacking the maid. He saw them but never stop fucking her. The maid was enjoying it and was never approached of any hindrance.“Beta Kevin!” Gamma called.“Kim, an
Kevin knew that Cynthia won’t be able to get the bottle of wine herself. But he wanted to punish her a little. She deserved all the blames. She remembered when Cassandra wanted to look for a person to use to get Logan. She had foreseen Cynthia.“You know that I couldn’t just put wolfsbane in his drink.” He had said.“Come with me, we will use Cynthia.” She’d said.“Cynthia?” he had been surprised. The Cynthia he knew would never do it. He had thought.“You knew she could never do it,” I said.“She will do it with a little blackmail. But you must be her mate after then.” She said,“Mate! I don’t get you.” He had said in shock.“She is your mate. Not Logan's. Even your heart wanted her, don’t you?” she had asked and he knew that she was right. He wanted Cynthia more than everything. Since she had promised to reincarnate his mother. Everything would be fair after all. He had thought. They had watched her leaving the place she hid her hexed family. The place she thought nobody was aware o
“Suck me harder!” Beatrice who hasn’t experienced something as wonderful and heavenly as this cried out. Logan chuckled.“Dear, I will suck you harder than you expect. Just be patient,” he said. He spread her leg apart and held her two laps with his hands and kept licking, eating, and sucking her.She never stopped twirling and moaning so loud. Thank goodness the Alpha’s cabin was soundproof.“Take it easy, dear,’ he said.“Can’t. Don’t dare stop!” she yelled as the passion swept all over her. She never knew that there was great sweetness as this in lovemaking. He was so perfect that he knew which quarter to lick and suck, she thought. He kept sucking her until sweet juice gushed out of her hole and he licked even things. Beatrice heaved a sigh of relief. It was so excellent, not only good. She thought Logan had finished handling her hole without knowing that he had just started. He spread her leg apart and inserted a finger. She flinched, “Oh!” a moan escaped from her mouth. He remo
