The declared Combat

They got in to find Mike still asleep.

“Mike,” Logan called, then the wail came again. It seemed that he was fighting an unseen force and wailing.

“Mike!” Logan called again as he rushed to him. Mike woke up at the touch of Logan. He stood up in a flash, like an adult.

“Are you all right?” Logan asked.

“Let him be Logan. Let him rest,” Beatrice said.

“I am alright.” He said.

“Are you sure? You are looking sick.” Logan said.

“Father, I am well,” Mike assured.

“I just hope you are feeling well as you said.” He said.

“Yes, father,” Mike said.

“Okay, good pub.” He praised.

“How was your training?” Mike asked.

“Good, you just slept off.” He said.

They all changed the topic. Beatrice made Supper and left for the mansion pack. Both Logan and Mike sat facing each other as if they were of the same age.

“Are you ready to tell me the dream you had that made you wail?” Logan asked and Mike stared at him.

“Father, if I should tell you, it wouldn’t make any change,” Mike said.
