Chapter 435 Freedom as in Death

Nobody answered the door even after a long while.

Sheldon asked calmly, "Is the tenant in?"

"According to the owner, the tenant almost never leaves the house," Ryan answered solemnly.

Sheldon didn't question further. Instead, he simply reached out to press the doorbell again.

Just then, the door opened, though only slightly.

However, Sheldon could still see that it was utterly dark inside.

The tenant's face was obscured as he hid himself in the darkness. Even his voice was low enough to the extent that it was hair-raising when he asked, "Who's there?"

Sheldon asked, "Are you the tenant of Unit 2508?"

Instead of answering him, the tenant asked, "Anything?" He held tightly onto the door, leaving only a narrow opening.

Ryan was a bit curious and couldn't refrain from stealing a glimpse into the house. However, he received a glare from the tenant.
