Chapter 4: The phone

I went home after talking with my last client for today. I looked at the paper bag I`m holding and sighed. Just who the heck is he? I only knew one person who knows that flower! But it`s impossible that his here because Segundina just told me that, he just appeared on the television last night! And he is at some party and of course, he went with a date, again!

It`s not that I care, it just he became a famous for the last five years! He fucking surpass the playboy on their group! Oh, well. I don`t care anymore.

“Mommy!”

“My baby! Come here and hug mommy.” She runs toward me pulling Drey with her. He chuckled. He look at me and mockingly mouthed mommy. I frowned.

Yelena let go of Drey and raised her arms, telling me to carry her, so I did.

“Is mommy tired?” I nodded. She frowned.

“If I kiss mommy, you won`t be tired anymore? Like what the guy in the video said?” My forehead creased.

“Mommy I saw an old phone and it`s look cute! I charge it first because I notice that it`s lacks of battery. So, I waited for almost 5 minutes before opening it!” She said cheerfully. My hands trembled, I began to sweat hard and I swallowed hard.

“And then mommy, because daddy Drey is showering I opened it! I saw your picture with a man! You look so cool there mommy! You have that badass look, you`re looking badly at the guy beside who`s smiling widely like an idiot! But mommy, we have the same eyes, who is he?” The moment I heard that, I put down Yelena and sit to the near chair to me. Yelena followed, asking me what`s wrong. I said nothing and smiled at her.

Drey followed too and sat beside me.

“Yelena, let mommy rest.” I shook my head and look at her. She`s glaring at Drey and she stick her tongue out which made me smile, this time it`s genuine.

“I went to the gallery because I was so amused with your wallpaper mommy! You look so happy and contented! But I notice that you looked more happy and free when you`re with that guy! Mommy you might not have many picture together but you`ve got too many videos together! Most of the time he is the one who`s recording! Mommy I want to meet him!” I don`t know what to say, I look at Drey so he nodded.

Even though Yelena don`t have any interaction with him yet, she`s already so fond of him.

Yelena might not ask questions to me, I know that she`s curious but she always understand me and think of the most positive way. She`s just like him..

“Mommy?” I look at her. “Hmm? Yes baby?” She frowned, but then she shook her head and get up.

“Mommy, come on! Let me kiss you so you can rest more peacefully! And I already take care of your bath, so you won`t have to think about it!” She`s really just like him..

Yelena is only four years old but the way she think and speak is matured. My mama told me that maybe because she have a parents who`s intelligent. Well, I don`t know if that`s true I just hope for my daughter`s a happy and normal life. A peaceful one.

Like what I said, a lot of things happened and one of that is I met mama. She`s a half Filipino and half german. That`s explain why I`m close with Filipinos! My mama is filthy rich, she is richer than my father. She is richer ten times than my father. But mama is very different from him, mama donate her money to the orphanage. She always help those who need her help, especially when it comes to financial problems. If she ever meet a beggar she would always bring them to her restaurant and invite other beggars too and let them eat everything they want. Everyone loves her because of her kindness. They said she have everything, money, beauty, intelligent and a rich husband. My true father.

Even if she`s at her forty`s already, her body and face remain like she`s still at her twenty’s and not married yet. Same with my papa, his built and handsome face remain the same. My mama has a blue eyes and my papa has a gray eyes. I have both of those color of eyes.

Yes, that`s one of my secret. And unfortunately Yelena inherited it.

She`s a gray and brown eyed baby.

The doctor was so shocked when I gave birth to Yelena, they looked so amazed and stayed frozen. They only move when I groaned in pain.

“Mommy? Are you done?” She asked softly. Yelena is really clingy, she won`t let go of me every time she caught me. It`s fine with me.

“Yes baby! Mommy is just drying her hair!” I heard her giggled then laugh.

“Mommy, Drey is sulking at the corner!” She shouted then chuckled. I smiled.

“OH come on Yelena!” I heard Drey shouted and the next thing I knew Yelena is laughing happily, and keep saying it tickles! I smiled while looking at myself at the mirror. I can`t help it but to notice the tattoo on my shoulder. I touched it gently and as usual I can feel the rough texture of it indicating that there is something beneath the tattoo.

It`s dandelion.

I smiled sadly.

“Mommy?”

“Yes baby! Mommy is done!” I shouted as I fixed myself and went out. I find Yelena beside the door. She look up and smiled at me innocently.

She showed me the phone, still looking so innocent. “Mommy, can I watch this with my brother?” I smiled and nodded.

“Yey! Mommy you`re the best mother ever!” I chuckled and kiss her.

Today is Sunday. I don`t have a work so I decide to date Yelena in the amusement park. So I woke up early and prepared her dress and called mama.

It`s keep ringing. I sighed. She`s doing it again so I called papa. He answered it, I can hear from the background that mama is telling him to end the call. I laughed and told papa to give it to mama. I can literally hear mama, telling papa no!

“Ma, you can have Yelena on Monday.” I said.

“Really? Oh my Gosh! I miss that cutie!” She said, full of energy and then she keep telling me what they did for the whole week. I listened to her intently while waiting for Yelena to wake up.

It`s still seven thirty and Yelena usually woke up at eight.

When she`s done, she told me that they`ll join ad have a family bonding. This don`t usually happen because they are always busy especially papa.

I told that to Drey and said sorry. He said he understand and he`s going to meet Segundina`s doctor. So he really can`t come. I was about to complain because it might ruin the plan but I let him. He looks like he has plan on his own.
