Charlotte's POV

"You don't know how things like this work, that's why. It's supposed to be more than a month, but we'll try to return on time. It's war, not a vacation," he said, and it intensified my cries.

"What if you don't win the war?"

"I'll come back," he answered, stroking my hair.

"What if they kill you?"

"They can't kill me, Charlotte. Stop all these questions."

"But you're only twenty-five," I whined, and he sighed.

"I thought you would have forgotten my age along with the rest of your memories?" He asked, but I didn't say anything. I just knew his age.

"I'll be fine, and I'll return, you'll see me. Is that okay?" He said, but groaned in frustration when I still shook my head.

"Is your dad also going?"

"His name is Sawyer. He isn't going."

"Why? He's supposed to keep an eye on you."

"Your love for me will guide me, so don't worry too much. Sawyer will look after the pack since my Beta is leaving with me."
