The Resort

Jade, Austin, Bri, and I sat at a small bonfire outside our villa. It was snowing outside, and we were dressed in thick ski jackets and matching gloves.

Principal Clark surprisingly brought us to a ski resort in Aspen. The snow is beautiful but it is also extremely cold and restricting. I mean there hasn't been much going out for us except for the occasional ski trips we've been on today.

I suddenly started feeling hungry so, I excused myself from the group and Austin decided to walk with me. We went downstairs in search of a vending machine since all the restaurants were already closed.

Austin's phone started ringing and he smiled when he saw who was calling him. "It's Rook." He uttered before he turned his back to me. As Austin started speaking into the phone I laid my eyes on a vending machine. I smiled in relief before I grabbed my wallet from inside my jacket pocket.

I felt someone standing in line behind me and I frowned lightly. I guess I'm not the only hungry person in this
