Carla
I looked around still weak. I noticed Aeden in a white T-shirt, black jeans, and a matching leather jacket. He had a gun stuffed in the waistband of his jeans. His hair was disheveled and some of his tattoos were visible. Specifically, the ones on his hand, as half of them were hidden underneath the sleeve of his leather jacket. A confident aura radiated from him. I didn’t want to admit it but he did look fucking hot.
“Carla.” He walked up to me calmly and I looked at him, blankly.
“We have to leave.” He said and I raised one of my brows at him.
“I have to do this,” he said and I noticed one of his lapdogs walk towards us as he stretched his palm out and he placed a syringe on his open palm. That was it! My eyes widened in horror. The asshole was going to drug me again!
“No! I’ll walk on my own. You don’t need to do that!” I was quick to answer.
“I
Carla“I’m so dead,” I whispered to myself when I noticed he made his way towards me.In three quick and long strides, he stood in front of me, towering my small frame with his large and tall frame. I craned my neck a bit to look into his eyes. And they still had the same longing in them, they did three years ago.“Mr. Arnold.” Aeden came up to me and wrapped one of his hands around my waist and pulled me closer to him before the man in front of us could speak up.With black eyes and dark hair, and being just an inch or two shorter than Aeden, he still looked the same. The same man I met three years ago. The one mistake that I still regret. If only he wasn’t the way he was, I would have definitely given Steve a chance.“Mr. Beckett, I’m so sorry for your loss,” he sends his condolences our way, ripping his eyes from mine to my so-called husband.Aeden just nods and his ho
CarlaWe sat down at the dining table and sure enough, Aeden sat to my right. Since all the guests were gone, we haddinner a little late. Also because Sarah was having a hard time accepting the fact that her mother was no more. The maids served food on the very fancy light blue plates in front of us. I have no clue why the fucking utensils in this house are so fancy, but they are. I roll my eyes at how much money these people waste on useless shit. I mean the amount spent on these plates could have easily fed a small batch of hungry kids.We quietly began eating food. Although I had lost my appetite, I had to eat because everyone was there. Steve had surely made his way back into my mind. He was still trying to get to me when Jack and I were dating and Jack didn’t like him one bit. One drunken night and he took everything too seriously. It was a mistake and for all, I know and I don’t even remember anything.I was quietl
AedenRubbing my eyes with my fist, vigorously, I snapped my eyes open. My eyes came in contact with the now-empty bed. Carla wasn’t there anymore. Maybe in the bathroom or having her breakfast. I turned on my back and looked at the wall clock. It was half-past nine. I overslept. It was the most peaceful and pleasant sleep I had in years now. All because of one person, my queen.Sleeping beside her calmed my raging nerves and her sweet smell lulled me to sleep. I desperately needed that after the death of my mother, which I was upset about. Her sweet scent calmed my beasts and tried awakening a part of me I didn’t know existed. A gentle side. But I wasn’t the gentleman that I portrayed to be. I was a demon walking in human flesh and no one could change that. Not even Carla. When I returned to the room after my dinner, yesterday night, I saw how uncomfortably she slept on the bed. I changed quickly into my sweats a
CarlaI am sure that this car has a tracker. Aeden is one sick asshole and he’s capable of doing anything. What I’m sure of right now is that nobody is following but not for long. I have to do run before Aeden actually figures out I ran away.It won’t be long before he wakes up and finds out I stole from him and ran away.I pull up and park the car in a corner. I would be dammed if this car doesn’t have a fucking tracker. I kill the engine and leave the keys inside the car and lock the car and just unlock my door before carefully closing it in such a way that it locks.Well, now he’ll need a mechanic to get to his car.I need a change of clothes. I’m sure he would have already memorized what I was wearing. Taking the money I run to the shopping lane that was a bit of a walk from here.I was fast on my heels. Not wasting a single minute. I had to get out of this place. But what I was
CarlaI just stared up at the very white ceiling through my blurry vision.Numbness was all I felt.My wrists are now free but I didn’t bother to bring them back down. They definitely hurt like a bitch.A sharp stinging pain still bothered me from below my left bosom and my ribs. Whatever he did, it was probably ugly and I didn’t want to look at it. I wasn’t ready to face my scarred body just yet.My fingers trembled and my body shivered occasionally due to the cold and the pain. A lone tear slid from my right eye remembering the feeling of the disgusting hands of my husband all over my body. He wasn’t a human. What did I do to marry a monster like him?Hadn’t I had enough of one monster that Aeden had to be another? My throat was dry and so were my parted and chapped lips. I know he had later come and dressed whatever fucking thing he had carved on me because the pain was much les
CarlaI let him pull me because, at this point, I had given up.“Are you alright?” I heard him ask as he paused by the large steel door.“Does it matter?” I counteredback looking up at him and he was slightly taken aback and his hold on my wrist loosened.“I’m so sorry,” he whispered looking at me as his eyes softened.“Doesn’t matter. Your sorry isn’t going to stop me from hating him,” I said emotionlessly looking at the door.“Carla… he told-” I didn’t let him continue as something inside me snapped.“Doesn’t matter Eric. What’s done is done,” I said firmly. He just nodded his head and sighed looking down.“Forget that, what does he want?” I asked him, continuing to look at the door.He just sighed and turned around and unlocked the large door open. Eric had boughtm
Carla“Who are you?” I asked in completedisbelief. It was hard for me to process but I had to I wanted to save my fucking life. I had no idea what he was going to do next. I’d put all of my money on him brutally murdering me like he is killing this guy. Slow and painful. Regretting each and every choice of your life.A crude laugh echoed through the room. I noticed the way his head hung back as he laughed like this was the best joke’s ever heard. So loud that everyone in the basement shifts uncomfortably. My mouth slightly parted in disbelief as I looked at him. Does he think it’s a joke to torture and killpeople?“How can you be so naive?” He turned around still chuckling, making me frown.“You haven’t figured it out yet, haven’t you?”“Figured out what? That you run something illegal? A long time ago hubby,” I sneered, mocking him.&l
CarlaThe lights shimmered as it began blacking out. Despite the distance, this island had the most beautiful view and buildings.Aeden or should I say, Vincenzo, as he liked to be called, partially dragged me here to one of his private islands. I didn’t protest. I had given up a long time ago. He could have his way with where I lived now.I still hadn’t looked down at my body but the wound had definitely healed. It was now probably an ugly scar. I didn’t want to look at it. I didn’t want to remember that day or what happened that night.Placing the rim of the bottle on my lips, I guzzled down the strong liquid and winced. It has been some time I actually had any sort of alcoholic drink. But right now, nothing seemed better than this. I probably have drunk my ass and won’t be able to stand, yet I chose to sit on the edge of the terrace of this large mansion. I have never grown with a house that actually had a
