I signed the last document and placed it in the completed pile with a satisfied sigh. Two days of handling pack duties while Carlos visited the Lycan Kingdom had left me exhausted but proud. I glanced at the clock—6:30 PM. My husband would return tomorrow, and I'd managed to keep everything running smoothly with my brother's help."Still working?" The beast yelped, crashing into a tree trunk with a sickening crack. The remaining rogues circled her, fangs raised, claw sharp, but hesitation now clear in their movements.
