Nora POV

I watched George and my stepmom walking toward me, their faces filled with mockery. It was obvious they saw how I embarrassed myself just now.

“ Is she supposed to be my sister?” George asked, scowling. His disdain toward me was as glaring as the morning sun. I wonder how I had offended him.

"How can a Lycan be so weak? I am sure she is truly an imposter!" My stepmom stated, throwing me a condescending gaze.

I was stuck on what to say. I couldn't defend myself because it was truly shameful that I couldn't even hold myself against a mere growl. I stole a glance at Karen who still had a grim expression on his face. He must be feeling ashamed of being a teacher to a weakling.

“ It's a pity the queen placed her hope on you," my stepmom calmly threw her words at me.

I felt myself burning with anger yet I held myself back. My mind drifted to my discussion with the queen last night. It was as if she knew what I was likely to face today.

Nora POV I ran through the bright light, feeling bloodthirsty. My fangs protruded as my eyes turned darker in shade. I heard voices calling out my name faintly. I looked back but saw nothing. Turning to my heels, I ran in the opposite direction to where the bright light was coming from. I could hear the noises growing louder, until I smelled the air. It was filled with bloodlust. I stumbled on something soft yet hard and as I looked down, my body turned cold instantly. Spread around the wide ground were dead bodies sprawled all over the place. I took two steps backwards, unable to believe the bloodbath before me. It was gruesome as heads rolled on the ground whilst different limbs were torn, falling to different places. I heard heavy footsteps behind me and when I turned around, I saw a mysterious Lycan standing tall in the midst of others. The eyes looked oddly familiar yet filled with hatred. He raised two heads up, a smirk playing deeply on his face as his voice echoe

SIX MONTHS LATER Carlos POV“ I need some fucking space, Aria!” I clasped my fist tightly, staring at the eyes that had turned watery." Space? I am your mate, Carlos. I should be your space!” Her retorts filled with defiance even as she tried to stop herself from tearing up even more. With a scowl, I turned around to leave but she grabbed my hand, stopping my movement.“ You accepted me as your chosen mate-"I snorted at her words. Did she forget so quickly? This was all a deal.“ We made a deal, Aria. You wanted the title of a Luna and I wanted a woman as my mate. I clearly told you not to expect more from me!" " Why can't you accept me? Is it because of her? That weak-”Like a flash, I couldn't control my anger as I held her by the throat before throwing her on the bed. I could hear her successive gasps and as I turned to look at her, her eyes held nothing but defiance." I told you never to mention her!” I barked, walking close to her." It's-it’s been six months, Carlos. She is

NORA POVDetermination seeped through my veins as I made up my mind to beat the record I had been getting for the past one week. Although other trainers said it was impossible, only if I had my wolf. They said it would have been possible considering my speed. The only Lycan that had gotten less than 0.5 seconds was the first Ancient Blood. Beating that speed will require my wolf. After giving Karen a faint smile, I shut my eyes tightly, envisioning the target without losing focus. I don't know if I could make the 0.5 second speed but at least I could aim faster. As I breezed through the bushes, tearing whatever was on my way apart. I sustained bruises yet I felt nothing as I ran at full speed. I know Elder Silvarum was already waiting for me there for the calculation. With the whistling of the morning breeze streaming past my ears, I continue to run as fast as I could. In a blink of an eye, I was already standing before the old man as I catch my breath.“ It's outstanding but you st

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    How Could She Have A Wolf?

CARLOS POVI cursed as I changed into my wolf form, filled with anger at what I just heard. How could such a thing happen and none of the elders had a whiff of it.I got to the conference room in less than five minutes and changed back into my human form. My eyes scout through all the elders who had a grim yet fearful expressions. “ How could this have slipped your reports?" My voice boomed across the throne room.My hands tapped rapidly on my throne, watching the Elders whose heads were bowed shivering slightly. I waited for their excuses once again, yet none spoke a word.“ No answer? I guess I should find out my way," I smirked, my aura changing drastically.I stood up abruptly, making them whimper a few steps back. They should have known for the past six months I had been on the throne that I was nothing like my father.Don't get me wrong. My father was one of the most decisive Alpha in all werewolves territories. Brutal yet merciful, so much that most of our territories were now

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    It's Fake

Carlos POVI woke up with a start, sweat dripping all over my body. It felt so real and I could have sworn it was Nora. How could she have a wolf when she was just human?I felt a familiar pain tugging at my heart as her face flashed before me. I got up swiftly, making my way to the bathroom. Maybe a cold bath would straighten me out.As I walked past the reading desk, I paused. Instead, I made my way to the desk. I saw an enclosed box. It was the box holding the shard of emerald pendant.I took out the shard, examining it once more for any inscription. Indeed, there was an inscription but it was partly torn. I removed the one on my neck and noticed inscriptions on it too.I sighed, a strong migraine kicking in. Why can't I get the feeling that something wasn't right out of my head?“ I need to find out the truth."With that I sent a mindlink to my gamma, Kayden. He was also my best friend, just like Justin and I trust him. “ Get me an expert on inscriptions and wordings”" Yes, Alph

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    You Think You Can Defeat Me?

NORA POVI leap high, my feet bare and my heart racing. That damn old man would be the end of me. Why was he so strict? I wish I could be trained by Nora only.“ If you are a second behind, you will be punished, brat." Elder Silvarum’s voice came through the mindlink. I could have yelled a fuck you at him but then I wasn't ready to train all day. That's how wicked Elder Silvarum was to me. Did he even see me as the Lycan princess?Maybe he forgets that I was still not with my wolf. With a sigh, I continued the race without the surge of power and speed that comes with having a wolf. It's just me, my human form, and the burning need to become powerful. I could feel the forest getting blurred around me, trees becoming green and brown smudges as I ran the distance. My legs had began to ache and I could swear that my lungs were going to be on fire, thanks to that old man!I pushed on, fueled by determination.I wanted to meet up with his timer, so I ran with all my strength. I grunted, getting ready to face them. Two of them charged forward, their movements were as fast as a strike of lightning. I reacted instinctively, my body shifting into a defensive stance. Our bodies clash, a flurry of punches and kicks, each blow landing with precision and force.I staggered a little when the third person came from behind me, a punch landing on my back. "Focus, Nora!" Karen growls, his fist inches from my face. "Don't let your emotions rule you. You're a Lycan, a warrior. Nora POV“ For the sake of the pendant, Nora. I will let you go back but be back before the fall of the red moon.” Her voice seems to falter at the end of her words.I could barely contain my excitement as I stood before my mother, my heart racing with anticipation. She has finally given me the permission I have been waiting for - to go back to my former pack and exact my revenge.Filled with excited whimper, I embraced my mother tightly. Although I wanted to ask her why I had to come back before the fall of the red moon, I decided to ignore it because I would be back before then.“ How is the training?" She asked, searching my face with those piercing eyes. My mother's aura was extremely powerful and I wondered if she was just a Lycan or something more.“ Improving. Hopefully, I will give the elders a favorable answer." I answered with a crestfallen face.My mother touched me gently, her warmth traveling down my heart. I raised my head, gazing at her reassuring face.“ You are strong

Carlos POVI lay awake, staring at the ceiling of our bedroom as Nora slept beside me. Her breathing had finally steadied, but the memory of what had happened earlier still haunted me."Karen... Karen, please..." she had murmured, her voice desperately pleading.I had been drifting off when her voice cut through the darkness. At first, I thought she was talking to me, but as my mind cleared, I realized she was still asleep. Her face was tense, brows furrowed as if in pain or concentration. That name again. Karen. It wasn't the first time I'd heard it on her lips during sleep. For weeks now, this Karen had been appearing in Nora's dreams. Each time, I said nothing, hoping it was going to stop. I stood there, watching Nora sleep, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. But my mind was elsewhere, replayed on the words she had whispered in her sleep severally."Karen..." The name had slipped out so softly, yet it had struck me like a thunderclap. I hadn't reacted then, didn

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Fearless. Lethal. Beautiful

CARLOS POVI decided to see Elder Silvarum and King George concerning Nora's condition. "The dreams are becoming more vivid," I explained, watching Elder Silvarum's ancient face remain impassive. "She's seeing things, calling Karen in her sleep." I talked about Nora's dreams for a while, trying not to forget any important part of her dreams. I told them about how strange she had been acting recently. King George leaned forward, his massive frame dwarfing the ornate chair beneath him. "Could it be a coincidence?"Elder Silvarum shook his head. "There are no coincidences with matters of prophecy." His eyes were fixed on me. "Continue watching her, Carlos. Document everything. Keep an eye on her, and make sure to relate every new development with me."I nodded, though questions still burned within me. Before I could voice them, something shifted in the air around me. A cold sensation gripped my chest, squeezing until breathing became difficult. Fear—raw and instinctual—flooded my se

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Poison

Griffin POV My body went rigid. What I saw couldn't be real. Nora, vulnerable Nora grabbed the rogue wolf by the scruff with bare hands and flung him away like a rag or paper. The beast yelped, crashing into a tree trunk with a sickening crack. The remaining rogues circled her, fangs raised, claw sharp, but hesitation now clear in their movements. Nora stood, blood dripping from her torn sleeve, but she didn't seem to notice. Her lips pulled back in a snarl that looked wrong on her human face. Then she lunged at the closest wolf. Her movements weren't human. She twisted with impossible speed, ducking under snapping jaws and driving her fist into the rogue's ribs. Bones crunched. The wolf howled. I wondered what was going on. My eyes and mouth remained wise open in amazement. She grabbed another by the throat, fingers digging into fur until blood seeped between them. The wolf thrashed, claws raking her arms, but Nora didn't flinch. She squeezed until something gave way with a w

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Danger

GRIFFIN POV The vision of Nora in danger appeared in my mind. Without a second thought, I stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form. Bones cracked and reshaped, fur bursting through my skin as I dropped to all fours. May the moon goddess, protect her. Keep her safe until I get there. I prayed fervently. Kael trailed behind me. I bolted for the door of my hideout, claws scraping against wood. The moment I leaped onto the porch, a familiar scent stopped me cold. I immediately stopped, my heart racing in my chest. 'Dang it!' I cursed within me. The sorceress blocked my path, her dark eyes flashing with fury. She was breathing heavily, and it was not because she was tired or exhausted. It was because she was angry with me. "Where do you think you're going?" she snarled. "You're going against our agreement, Griffin." I growled, hackles rising. No time for this. I shifted back to human form, not caring about my nakedness. "Nora is in danger," I said, grabbing p

NORA'S POV I signed the last document and placed it in the completed pile with a satisfied sigh. Two days of handling pack duties while Carlos visited the Lycan Kingdom had left me exhausted but proud. I glanced at the clock—6:30 PM. My husband would return tomorrow, and I'd managed to keep everything running smoothly with my brother's help."Still working?" Justin leaned against the doorframe of the Alpha's office, arms crossed.I rubbed my tired eyes. "Just finished, actually. Who knew being Alpha's wife meant drowning in paperwork when he's gone?""That's why I'm happy being just the Beta," Justin grinned. "All the respect, half the paperwork.""Liar. I've seen your desk." I stood and stretched my stiff muscles. "Any word from Carlos?"Justin shook his head. "Not since this morning. The meeting with King George is probably running long.""Politics," I muttered. "I need some fresh air after being cooped up all day."

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Not Again

Nora POVI woke up feeling strange. Someone had been talking to me in my dream, calling out my name. I remembered letting out a powerful growl as if I had a wolf, but I couldn't tell if it was real or just another dream.I sat up in bed, my heart racing, sweat dampening my nightgown. The room was still dark, pre-dawn light barely filtering through the curtains. I pressed my palms to my eyes, trying to clear the fog from my mind."Not again," I whispered to myself. These dreams were becoming more frequent, more vivid. Each night, fragments of a past I couldn't fully recall visited me, leaving me disoriented when I woke.A soft knock at the door interrupted my thoughts."Come in," I called, quickly composing myself.Elara, my maid, entered with a tray of tea. "Good morning, my lady. I brought you coffee." I smiled and nodded. There was this concerned look on her face as she stared at me.

GRIFFIN POVI paced the floor of my small room in the sorcerer's house, the wooden boards creaking beneath my boots. The unease crawling up my spine wouldn't let me rest."Would you stop that? You're giving me a headache," Kael said from where he lounged in the corner.I shot him a glare. Unlike me, Kael had chosen to serve the sorcerer willingly. A mercenary with a taste for magic and mayhem, he had become my reluctant ally over the past months. Not a friend I didn't trust him enough for that. but useful."Something doesn't feel right," I muttered. "The sorcerer's been too quiet."Kael shrugged. "Maybe she trusts you're doing your job."I snorted. "She doesn't trust anyone.""Fair point." Kael stood and stretched. "So what's the real problem?"I hesitated, then decided to take the risk. "I need you to meet with the spy."Kael's eyebrows shot up. "The one in Nora's pack? Why?""Because I can't.

GRIFFIN POVI stared at my reflection in the mirror. My face had healed from the burns I'd suffered during the war, though faint scars remained as permanent reminders. I traced a finger along the longest scar that ran from my temple to my jaw."Admiring yourself again?" The sorcerer's voice cut through the silence like a knife.I dropped my hand and turned. She stood in the doorway, her tall figure casting a long shadow across the floor."Just checking if your magic is still working," I replied dryly. "Wouldn't want your pet project looking damaged."The sorcerer smiled, but it was an obvious forced smile. "Pet project? You should be grateful. Most wouldn't have survived those burns.""Most wouldn't have been bound to someone else's life force either," I countered. She stepped into the room, her long robes flowing against the floor. "Speaking of which, how are you feeling? Any discomfort?"I knew what she was as

Even in the dim light, I could still recognise his face."Well?" I asked, setting down the papers.Kael cleared his throat. "Sir, we... we couldn't penetrate the Carlos Pack borders."My fingers stilled on the desk. "What did you say?""Our men were intercepted.
