A new, unfortunate case in Maine proved to be a timely distraction for April G’s thoughts about her eternal battles with the old witch. Reports of people being murdered in bizarre ways had reached the Agency and it was almost certain that supernatural was involved. Madison was chosen to be on the case and on the following day, she was scheduled to meet Lady for the instructions.
“How are you getting on?” Lady asked casually.
“Well, let us see… An evil witch has been haunting my dreams and now I often seem to be lost in thoughts and blanking out,” Madison replied.
“April G, I have been told about that and I must tell you; only ‘you’ can beat Zai. No one else can help you with this,” Lady said.
“I know and I am doing everything I can,” she replied.
“Perhaps you are tired. Have you been taking rest properly?” he asked.
“Eating properly, check! Full health
Once inside the library, Meredith helped them find another book.“The Fervour Spell. It’s the only way to kill the Monster.” June read. “It’s a very strong spell and it can hail a firestorm.”Meredith knew all the spells, but she could not cast spells like Madison could. Meredith had super strength, super speed, and could heal quickly. Madison was in possession of the book, but she was not an expert on casting spells. The only way they could do this was by joining hands.“The monster is sneaky. It disguises very well as it can change its colour and texture. Usually, it finds its victims near its hideout, and you can only kill it inside its hideout,” June read on.“So, all we have to do is follow him to his hideout and cast a spell,” Madison said, laughing lightly.“I guess you won’t have to if it saw you. It will abduct you anyways and take you to its hideout,” Mere
Madison could not believe that the peaceful days were over so quickly. A week in the school and Ms Philip was telling her that they were under an attack. A mythical creature was out and about, kidnapping the students at school. Ms Philip had summoned a meeting and Madison was among the three young girls in attendance.“Madison Chan, April G Jones, June Violet, and Trevor Wilde, I have made a decision. The four of you will be training as which detectives. I see a lot of potential and I think that you will make a great team. So, I am entrusting you with this task. Coordinate with the students, keep them safe and eliminate the monster,” she instructed.“Wait, I mean, it’s a huge responsibility and are you…” Victoria trailed off, trying to figure out what to say.“Here is everything the three of you need to know,” Ms Philip extended a paper towards April G, completely ignoring her concern.“Weaknesses, st
Once outside the limits of the city, Lady and Allan got out of the car.“We are ready to go to The School of Arts,” Lady announced.“Where? Madison looked at the empty land around them. There was nothing else in sight.“Ah, actually it’s quite far. We will have to be transported,” he said.“Don’t worry, Bill will take care of that,” Allan said as he moved towards the car, leaving the two of them alone.“It will be quick, I promise. As I transport us, you will feel a spinning effect, Lady said. “And it will help if you shut your eyes.”“Ok,” Madison said as she shut her eyes tightly.Seconds later she felt like she was spinning in a whirlwind, being lifted upwards. Suddenly, her feet touched the ground. When she opened her eyes, she and Lady were inside the premises of a huge building, The School of Paranormal Arts.“We will go to the dorms
This light came from a rift in space and opened in front of her to a silhouette of two tall figures. Madison wiped her blurry vision and adjusted her views as they approached and stared down at her. “Miss April G?” The Caucasian woman asked. Madison blinked. How did she know her name? “We’ll consider that silence as a yes. Come with us. We’ll take you to a place where you can officially control your powers.” The tall, green-skinned man with pointed ears said, and the woman knelt to help her stand. She smiled and offered her a handkerchief and wiped her tears before taking her into the light with them.Lady Agatha sat in a busy café, alone. She was expecting his partner Allan any minute. Allan was running late as usual, and Lady wished that this time it would be because She had a lead on the case. However, as soon as Allan entered the café, looking somewhat dishevelled and walking with a slight limp, Lady lost all his hope. All
Now, she just wanted to cry it all out. However, a light snagged her attention. She smiled and offered her a handkerchief and wiped her tears before taking her into the light with them.Hm. I am not one to impede your decisions, little witch. It is amusing to expect the unexpected. But I would tread carefully if I were you. The aura this woman emanates is different and my demon senses are telling me she is more than just a regular witch. If she sh
Compared to the cold night air, a roof above her head is a blessing and she profusely thanked the other for saving her and bringing her here. “No problem, little one. I am Palio. And you?” “I’m Madison’” Madison caught herself in saying her full name. Of course, her family exiled her from her house. She is no longer a Wilde. She frowned and aggressively ate her dinner the other prepared. “Just April G.” “Little Miss April G, I see. A beginner witches.” Madison paused at that and turned to her. “How did you…” Palio smiled and placed a hand upon her chest and confidently answered. “I know a lot regarding your predicament. I will help you out. Also, you’re welcome to stay with me here, too. “April G’s eyes sparkled at that. She was thankful of Palio’s kindness and when the other confessed that she was also a witch, a warmth coated her chest at the added companion.Hm. I am not on
The woman let out an exasperated sigh before her eyes hovered on April G, who froze at the eye contact. She then smiled and loomed over. [Videtur quod te salvum me. Qui ut tibi sit?] –she said but Madison remained stiff on her spot. The woman tuts and hums before clearing her throat. She stared at the child’s temple and straightened, as if realizing something.“It seems that Latin is no longer a widely spread language. No wonder the bats got your tongue.” She bowed. “Greetings. I am Zai. I have been trapped in this book for decades, but now I am free. You freed me.” A smile.“I am now a being bonded to your soul. You and I are one now, little witch. You shall never be lonely again.” Zai? Little witch? Madison snapped out and shook her head. “I- I don’t know what you’re talking about. How were you trapped in that… thing and why are you calling me a witch?! I’m not a witch!”
What is it? April G asked before Madison wrapped his arms around her and bracing Harrison but tight hug. Thanks for the pep talk, mom.
