Allan was running late as usual, and Lady wished that this time it would be because She had a lead on the case. However, as soon as Allan entered the café, looking somewhat dishevelled and walking with a slight limp, Lady lost all his hope. Allan walked over to him and took a seat opposite to him.
“You look like you have been outsmarted once again,” Lady said with disappointment.
“I could use some food, I am starving,” Allan grunted easing himself in the chair.
After a short while, a waitress approached, and the two men ordered some food.
“So?” Lady asked.
“Well, they left no clue. I got the wrong person. They had charmed her into playing a decoy and I fell for it. The next thing I know is they had disappeared into thin air.” Allan explained.
