His name was Leo Garcia and he was attending the meeting as Gabe. He was a young art and antique dealer and a psychic. As far as The Blessing knew, he was in possession of the key. He had inherited it from his grandfather, an antique dealer with psychic abilities. He had come across the key during an auction. After paying a ridiculous amount of money for the piece, he made several attempts to resell it but the key failed to fetch him even what he had spent on it and eventually it found its way in the back of his small antique shop with other “dead stock”.

After several years when he had almost forgotten the key, a group of infamous goons approached the old man.

“Any idea about this, old man?” one of them asked, showing him a piece of paper.

One look at the hand drawn sketch and the old man understood that the key was worth more than he could ever imagine.

“I had something similar years ago but I’m not sure if I have sold it or if it’s still lying around,” he replied.

Olivia, Sam and Scott left Captain Moss’ office.“As if the damage already done by The Blessing was not enough,” Sam murmured.“The briefing is scheduled to take place during the second half of the day. I would like to get a bite before that,” Scot said, ignoring Sam’s whining.Olivia broke off from the group.“Aren’t you joining us?” Scott asked.“I’m good. I’m not eternally hungry like you,” she replied, taking a turn towards left. She headed to an iron bench in the garden. She would rather spend the afternoon alone than hanging out with her colleagues. Her mind could use a little peace. The last few weeks had provided her with life changing experiences. She had been disowned by her family, yet again. And to make the matters worse she had lost faith in friendship after what Jill, who was actually Tabitha, had done to her.She closed her eyes and leaned against the back of the bench. She wanted to resurrect Jill and give her another chance at life. Moss had disapproved of that, knowi

The fairies signalled to Samantha, asking her to move closer and she obliged happily.Soon the hooded figure reached for Dr Aegle paper work and began to look for something in the records.“Time to go,” he declared, as soon as he found Samantha’s file.Samantha was now dancing around the room with fairies, completely ignorant of the trouble she was in. They enclosed her in a circle and began dancing around her while she stood in the middle of the circle, happily looking at the fairies, one after the other.“Do you want to go to the fairyland now?” one of them asked.“Yes!” Samantha replied with excitement and giggled.“That was easy,” another one laughed and Samantha laughed with them too.Dr Aegle watched with astonishment as the fairies began to move faster and faster. An hour later, Olivia walked into Moss’ office. She could see that the atmosphere was really tense. Apart from Hansel there were three other agents in presence. Olivia immediately recognized the two agents sitting opposite to Moss. One of them was agent Kai sparrow, a 16-year-old Native American warlock. He was a tall guy with dark hair and piercing hazel eyes. Although he was notorious for his arrogance, Olivia felt that he was very capable. The other one was Skin Walker. He was a shapeshifter and Olivia didn’t know much about him. He was around 17. He had the appearance of a typical rebel at high school. She didn’t however recognize the women sitting on the right. She was petite and had long hair braided into what look like a long tail thinning gradually towards the end. The braid was set onto one of her shoulders. She sat straight. Olivia noticed that she was looking at her with what she would call “a mixed expression”. She couldn’t help but wondered if the woman recognized her.It

Before she could say something moss spoke up, “Our aim then was to get possession of the Chalice for a few hours and undo the spell. This would render it useless for resurrecting the dead. But then we figured that it was an ancient replica, not the real Chalice,” he said.“The history of The Warlock’s Chalice is rich and intriguing. It has been a subject of attention for centuries for two reasons. First, because of its value as a centuries old relic and second, due to the beliefs attached to it. It was last seen in Africa, around a hundred and seven years ago. It remained in the possession of one of the oldest tribes for a better part of a century but was later lost during a tribal war. The common belief is that was stolen by a witch who buried it in a tomb in a faraway dungeon. No one ever discovered the location of the dungeon but a key was found years later when the witch was killed. The tribe still holds the key. They believe that the key is connected to the Chalice. And taking so

After lunch break, Olivia hurried towards the main office. Too little time and she had too much to do. William and Alan along with another one of their colleagues had left on a mission, assigning most of the tasks to Olivia and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a newbie who knew far lesser than Olivia. This meant that Olivia had to take care of a lot more stuff than she could handle and she was overwhelmed.“Olivia!” Elizabeth called out from across the hall.“Yes?” Olivia sighed.“Detective Morris is waiting for you in his office,” Elizabeth informed.“Who?... William?” Olivia asked with surprise.“Yes, he’s here to see you,” Elizabeth confirmed.Olivia looked at the open door on her left and walked in.“William? Next morning, they set out on a tour of the city. The local high street was extremely busy, most tourists seemingly unconcerned with the killings. They stopped by a few places but found no clue.“The police seem to be everywhere,” Olivia said.“The high street and the hiking trails are a bit notorious and a few robberies have taken place over the past few months,” Romos explained. After roaming around for a couple of hours they finally headed towards the museum. It was an old building, mainly displaying paintings, old volumes of books, a few daggers and some ancient pots that looked like cauldrons.“Huh, those must amuse some people who think that witches have hooked noses, wear pointed hats and fly on brooms,” Romos commented as he gestured towards the cauldrons.“Can I help you?” a sharp voice said suddenly, startling Romos. They turned around to see a young woman in her early 20s. She had frizzy hair and was wearing a uniform. She spoke with a heavy accent.“My name is Annie and I

The interior of the church was decorated with a mishmash of patterns and it was hard to guess where the vault might be. As they stood there, planning their next move, they heard footsteps. Maxine took a smart step and disappeared from the view.“Are you looking for this?” a male voice suddenly echoed from behind them. They turned around and found the priest looking at them angrily. He was holding the signet. Soon his face broke into a devilish grin and his body began to change into that of a deadly creature. Olivia quickly jumped out of the way, at the same time casting a binding spell to keep any human from getting closer to the building. The outraged creature charged at Olivia who dodged its attack skilfully. The creature, now fully transformed into a Manananggal, was too strong to be handled by Olivia alone so William and Romos stepped in to help, throwing random objects at the creature to distract it.The Manananggal lunged forward at Romos but Olivia tried to stop it with the hel

The school was huge. She peered into the rooms as she walked in the hallway with William.“This is the right place for you. Here you are safe and you can practise your craft with freedom. Besides, no one will ever judge you here.” William tried to reassure her.Olivia nodded. Most of the young people at school seemed to be enjoying their time. They are experimenting with their mind control skills.” William explained.Olivia watched as one of the tw
