Chapter 3

Michael's point of view

   My name is Michael Pablo , I'm 23 and a graduate.I work in a firm in the heart of the city,for someone of my calibre,it was questionable. My father is a wealthy man,but I'm not one to cling to daddy's  work for my money.

   Enough of that. I went to a restaurant 3days ago to cool off,my boss has been on my neck,she wanted me to sleep with her but I wasn't interested in her.

    Don't get me wrong, she's pretty but just off. I don't like girls that throw themselves at me. I love girls that are had to get...

    Lula was getting on my nerves that day so I had to take a break.I had sat on the table  in the restaurant replying a message to my sister,s was studying in Canada, she had always been my favorite.

    Someone coughed. I looked up to see the most beautiful woman I had ever seen,she had this aura around her that threw me off guard,with those ocean blue eyes, pink lips, beautiful skin and smell,seemed she was the waitress and had come to collect my order.

   I called into her,but it seemed she was lost.

  "You seem lost"I tried to sound confident.

   "Your order sir"she said. Her voice was stellar.

   I made my order and she left,she served it uncomfortable.I had wondered why. And when I called her pretty, I saw her blush. I had asked for her name after I told her mine, but she just walked away from me.

   I had waited,thinking she would come back,but she didn't so I had to leave.

   I was going to come back here.I swore to myself.

     But for the past few days I have been busy,but I never stopped thinking about her. I was attracted to her.

    Luck shone on me today, I was done with my work. I decided to go see her. I climbed down the stairs from my office. Some coworkers greeted me while some flirted. I knew I was cute,and on a normal day I would have flirted back with the ladies but the strange girl was the only thing on my mind.

  "Micheal are you going out"I heard Lula's voice.

  "Yes..."I sounded cold,for Christ sake can't she leave me alone. I don't like you!!

   " Can I come along,please"I had to agree cos I love my job,not like I can't get another one but I love what I am doing,she is the general manager,and I'm her assistant.

   We left the building,we were going to go on foot..the restaurant isn't far from my work place.. walking with her was tiring...she talked about everything..things that are of less importance, ranging from fashion, the food she ate, her pets, her shoes...my god, I hated her for her talkativeness.

   "Mike do you like my dressing..?,what about my make up do I look hot...?"..she asked.

  "You look breathtaking".. I said which was half true,if she had applied less of her makeup,she would have looked pretty, I'm very sure she used the foundation she was supposed to used for a month just for today, But for a general manager, she looked dumb..

     " Thanks"... she said happily.

  Thank God, we finally got here. I got in quickly and searched for the waitress with my eyes. I saw her over the counter and she was smiling at me but her smile soon turned to a frown and I don't know why.

   I sat by the table,I had sat on the other day with Lula. Strange girl came,she didn't even look at me,she just took the order and left,same thing happened when she came to serve us.I just stared at her,please look at me...

    " Baby our order is here"I heard Lula say.I saw the girl stiffen at that,she hurriedly left.

    I didn't even talk to Lula,why was she unhappy,it was obvious she is angry with me,but for what????.

Natty's POV

   I just walked away hurriedly. I was so stupid to start having feelings for someone I didn't even know. When he walked in I was happy cos I have missed him but seeing him with a woman made me angry,who the hell is she,what gave her the right to touch him!

Youare a fool natty!,my subconscious yelled. I know yeah,am not even sure he likes me.

    When I went to collect their order I avoided his eyes as much as I could I saw her acting all loving towards him. When I went to serve thm.She called him baby,he didn't say anything to counter that ,whichm they were a couple.

    Am supposed to be worried about my accommodation problem and not some guy who is happy with his girlfriend. I have only 3 days left before miss Lauretta throws me out.

        I went to collect the bill for his meal,his girlfriend is a talkative. She talks like a parrot,I made to collect it as soon as my hands touched his,I felt a tingling sensation, I quickly took the money and left. He stood up and left.

   I counted the money,while counting it I saw a note..

     "COUNTRY CITY MALL...7PM"

Oh my god he left a note,he wanted to see me. I contemplated going. I didn't know him enough but, risks are meant to be taken .
