Eigth : Woke up with ~

The week came by passed by a blur, everything get's back to it's normal day, I am still the new girl and everyone seems like watching at me every move I make. Calvin didn't stay with me longer than usual and Courtney stay with me to keep me company, but since we're in different level, we don't see much and I usually spend my time in the library, reading and doing my assignments, sometimes researching or playing chess with myself.

I haven't seen Kris for the week, and as for Calvin as if he's just coming to check on me and leave and when at home, he comes late too. I should talk to him. Maybe he has a problem and need someone to talk to. I nod my head on my conclusion.

And now, I am seating under the tree in the cold afternoon of Saturday, birds chirping and animals freely lurking around, I am just a few feet of the backyard and behind me was the woods. I never dared to come back inside the woods, every time I remembered the last event I had sent chills on my spine and my heart beats fast.

I stay on my position for good minutes before plugging my Ipod and headphones stuck on my ears listening to David Archuleta's songs. I smile as I think of him. When I was still younger and he is still a part of American Idol, I had a huge crush on him and from then on I start stalking him, from his each websites and songs I have a complete set on it.

I took out my pen and sketch and I fall on my own slumber and felt my hands come alive and start drawing as I hummed with the song. I was so lost in my own world when a feel a sudden movement, I stop and pulled out the earphones as I look around me and was shock to see the sun setting down then another hush and twig snapping can be heard and I stood up immediately  and about to ran towards the house when growl hit my ears, making me stiffen and stood frozen on my spot. I closed my eyes tight and not moving as I hold my breath.

"I'm going to die! Oh my gosh! Lord please tell my mom I love her and my dad, I love him too please take care of them and my cousins and aunts." I silently prayed as my eyes still shut. Then another growl emit and more closer to me, my heart beats rapidly fast. I bit my lip as I tried not to cry, fear is filling my body.

My eyes shot open as I heard someone calling my name. "Ally!" The voice seems so far and yet so familiar but I stood there shock as I meet once again a red eye dark brown wolf growling and snarling at me. I gulped nervously.

"Ally!" Now he sounds more nearer but nowhere to be seen I didn't dare to move an inch to where I am standing as I felt my sketch pad fell on my hands, never expected that I am shaking in fear.

"Ally, breath and close your eyes." There I saw Kris standing a few feet away from us, the wolf looks at him and growled loudly as he took a step forward to me, my breath hitch as I tried not to scream, I know I have tears in my eyes as I saw Kris become blurry then the wolf take another step and I instinctively took a step back which I thinks was a wrong move because the wolf lunge at me making me scream.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!"

"Sh*t!" I heard Kris cursed as he ran towards us and he easily grab the wolf's neck and throw it to the other side. His back on mine, protecting me.

"Don't you dare touch her!" He yelled at the wolf which the wolf just growled out as he jumped on Kris.

"Krissssss!!" I screamed as he looks at me, that was a very wrong idea because the wolf bit Kris shoulder making him wince and I gasps loudly.

"Darn!" He spit blood and glares at the wolf, he turn to me once more before he face the wolf again. Then the wolf came running to him once more but now I didn't made any noise to distract Kris. He easily dodge the wolf's attack before grabbing it's leg and snap it in different angle, the wolf howled in pain making me flinch. And before the wolf can do much move Kris twisted it's head, breaking it's neck and fall on the ground limp, dead.

I just stare at the wolf wide eye before looking at Kris, and gasps loudly as I saw three more wolves in front of him, they just staring at each other. A blonde wolf growled as it looks at me making me scoot back. Kris rush on my side.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He ask, worriedly.

I shook my head as my eyes fixated towards the three wolves, the blonde just stare at me for awhile making me move closer to Kris.

As if sensing my uneasiness, he took me in his arms before facing the wolves. "You can leave now, but-" he looks at the blonde wolf. "You have to go back, she needs you I think." I look at him, confused as why he's talking to them as if they can understand him but what shock me more when the wolves followed what he said.

"Let me help you and take you home." Kris smiled at me.

"W-wha-- H-how -- W-who, W-why--" I asked stuttering, he just let out a sigh as he looks at the direction the wolves take.

"I'll explain everything but you have to come to my place." I stared at him wide eye.

"I'm not going to have S*x with you!" I said gasping. "I know you save me but it's not the right thing right? I can do your assignments or anything but I'm not going to have s*x with you!"

He looks at me for awhile before bursting into laughter. "I am not going to have s*x with you, Ally." He shook his head, chuckling but change into seriousness. "Even if I wanted too, I can't" Am I not that attracted? I frowned at that thought.

"Look, you are beautiful, the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen, and I want to take you in anyway but not now--"

"What do you mean not now?! Are trying to say you'll do it someday?!" I shouted, scandalously covering my mouth.

"It's ahh .. I-- argh...!!" He brushed his hair using his fingers looking frustrated. "Before anything, I have to explain something and Calvin is on his way and he'll help me explain everything."

"What is this all about? The explanation?"

"The wolves" He said as he looks around us except me.

"Oh .. Okaaay?" I said awkwardly.

"Let's go, I'll take you to my place, Calvin is waiting for us there." He grab me by my elbow and drag me inside the woods, I hesitantly stop on my tracks as I look at the woods. "It's okay, as long as you're with me, you are safe, I promise nothing's gonna happen to you, I'll protect you." Kris said smiling at me.

"B-but--"

"Do you trust me?"

Do I trust him? Well, he save my life twice. But do I trust him? I look at him in the eyes and so many emotions lurking around his, I hesitantly nod.

"Y-yes." I stutter and he smile, his billion-dollar smile.

"Good girl." He ruffle my hair making me frown and he just chuckle.

And he lead the way once again, his hold is firmed as if he didn't want to let go that sends butterfly on my stomach and my heart flatter with that simple gesture. I smile.
