“I call dibs on the chair beside you.” Sharron announced immediately we got inside the plane. Okay, why did she have to say it like I was going to fight for it? I mean, I have basically been conceding to all her request.

“No, I need to have a meeting with Violet. You can sit on the other side.” He told her in a tone of finality and settled on his own seat.

I looked at her, and she gave me a pleading stare. I looked at Ryan and he was looking at the exchange, before looking at me and raising his right brow up. I could never do that no matter how hard I tried. What a show-off, I thought to myself.

“Yes, Violet. Are you going to take your seat or should I perform an act for you to sit?" He asked in an ice-cold tone that I haven't heard in a while.

I quickly settled in and strapped my seatbelt in.

He pulled closer and whispered, “You seem to enjoy going against me, don't you?"

To this I shook my head because honestly, that wasn't the case.
