I Might Have Desired A Married Man

“Annalise, you don't have to hug everybody.” My boss's voice said from behind the most adorable four or five year old child I have ever come across. I studied by Boss's features and looked down at Annalise's. The resemblance is uncanny and one need not a soothsayer to notice that they were related. Even though I knew that there might be Mrs. Falcon out there, Annalise's mother and she might just be the most loving person to my Boss and Annalise, I found my heart sinking down to the pit of my stomach. Why is it the first person I have ever truly wanted was taken? Life indeed wasn't fair, one bit.

Annalise broke from the hug and her little arms that held my thighs captive unwrapped from around them. She turned to my boss, her father, and said, “But Dad, she is not a stranger. She works for you.”

“Okay, Smarty-pants. You cannot go hugging everyone of my workers.” He corrected himself.
