When In Face of Danger, Maybe Call Your Boss

“And what are you doing here?” I leaned casually on the doorframe and acted like him being here didn't make me nervous. And the events of few days ago didn't frighten me. I am no damsel in distress and let's just say he managed to catch me off guard last week, but he was on my turf now.

“Also, what the hell, who are you to call me a bitch? You harassed me in my place of work and now you are here in my home. Seems the color orange is what you find befitting. Plus, what was that you tried to pull off the last time we saw? Do I look that weak to you?” I steeled my voice and looked directly in his eyes. I was beyond pissed that I was treated like a strumpet by him, and the more I replayed the event of that day, it made me angry that I cried over something like that.

His stormy gaze averted my threatening stare and I noticed his countenance changed significantly. Mentally, I was beating myself up for looking weak when he pushed me on the floor.
