The whole room went still, eagerly awaiting him to reveal what this suggestion was. “I think it’s too early for the children to be separated from their mother.”

“Don’t you think it’s better to do it now that they haven’t grown yet? It won’t take long to forget about her.” Cecilia casually said.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Exactly what you heard!” Her eyes turned to me, “I want you out of our lives for good, that way Cameron and I can finally have peace.”

The thought alone was ridiculous, I wondered how she could speak with a straight face, “don’t tell me you’re really going to divorce me and get married to this woman.”

Though Cameron hadn’t mentioned it yet, I could tell since Cecilia had been hinting at it for a while. She seemed ecstatic as she spoke with pride making me wonder if she had no shame. But I knew that for a woman like her, shame was a foreign concept. There’s no line she wouldn’t cross to achieve her goals, it would be stupid of me to fight her because of Cameron. Unl
