Chapter 4

I was surrounded.

I was scrolling through my phone, bored, wondering when Shaun would get here. All of a sudden, the entire hospital seemed to become restless and uneasy.

The security scoured the entire hospital, floor by floor, until they eventually stopped in front of me.

They put their hands behind their back, motionlessly surrounding me.

Before long, Shaun ran over to me from the distance.

I had never seen him look so flustered. He almost seemed haggard.

His clothes had been messed up by the wind, and his tie was crooked. Even his usually neat hair was a little messy.

He came to a stop in front of me and pulled me to my feet. “Nessa, why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? Why are you trying to abort our child?”

His eyes were red as he stared at me fixedly. “Why?”

He gripped my wrist so tightly I thought he would break it. I hissed in pain, instinctively trying to break free.
