56: Cheer Brother Up

The following morning in the nerd's mansion, the pregnant wife was busy preparing breakfast for her husband after giving their housekeeper a day off, while the said husband snored his life away since it was a weekend.

“Sleepyhead,” Alicia called, placing the tray of food on their nightstand and climbed on the bed, straddling Theo's lap. She then began scattering kisses on his sleeping face. “Wake up.” She whispered intermittently.

“Ugh,” attempted to turn but the heavy weight on top of him locked him in place. “Let me sleep, woman.” He croaked, squinting one eye open.

“I made you those muffins you love so much.” That got Theo opening his eyes fully. Though he prided himself in being a good cook, he respected Alicia's muffin recipe. And apparently it was self-taught after experimenting with various recipes.

“Now, that's not fair.” He groaned. She knew he couldn't resist the damn muffins.

“I never said I play fair.” She laughed at his annoyance. “Plus, I needed to get you out of bed
