36: Bossy Theo

Jonathan opened the door to his study and walked further in, leaving Theo to shut it. He took his seat of power behind the desk, picked up his reading glasses, and put them on. Theo sank into the visitor's seat without an invitation, crossed his right leg over his left one, and just stared at his father-in-law, unbothered.

Jonathan stared right back, hoping to make the younger man squirm, but nothing. “What do you think buying my property will accomplish, son? Make me approve of you for my daughter?” He asked after a lengthy silence. Theo chuckled cynically straightening his back.

“First of all, I am not your damn son.” He growled, narrowing his eyes dangerously. Jonathan swallowed nervously, adjusting his glasses, which were hanging below his nose bridge. “Second, I don't need your approval for shit. Alicia is mine, and neither you nor the Heralds can do anything about it.” Jonathan gaped. So, his daughter did indeed tell the punk about everything. Theo smirked watching the man fidge
