Diluc sat in his office, the London skyline stretching out before him as he stared at the papers on his desk. It had been a long, exhausting day filled with meetings and decisions that seemed to weigh heavier than usual. Despite his efforts to focus, his thoughts kept drifting back to the one thing that had been plaguing him for weeks—Yvette.

His phone buzzed, pulling him out of his thoughts. It was a message from Yvette, the tone as manipulative and taunting as ever.

**“We need to talk, darling. Don’t keep me waiting. Remember, I have what you need.”**

Diluc’s jaw clenched as he read the message. The very thought of Yvette made his blood boil, but he knew he had no choice. She had leverage over him—leverage he couldn’t afford to ignore.

As much as he hated it, Yvette held the key to a critical business deal that would either solidify the Neuvillette empire's dominance or bring it to its knees. A major international merger was in the works, one th
