Chapter Eight

As Furina arrived at Tiffany’s charming but modest townhouse, she was greeted with a warm hug. Tiffany led her inside, offering comfort and a listening ear. They sat in the cozy living room, and Furina recounted the events of the night. Tiffany listened attentively, her expression a mix of sympathy and concern.

“I’m so sorry you’re going through this,” Tiffany said, her voice filled with genuine empathy. “We’ll figure something out.”

“I hope so,” Furina replied, her voice trembling. “I just don’t understand why all of this is happening. I mean I know it was dumb of me to marry him but I had no other choice. I still don’t.”

“How much did you really owe him, F*e?” Tiffany shrugged. “Maybe, I don’t know, maybe I can help you pay him back. That way you no longer have to be married to him.”

The thought of a way out of her current predicament did tempt her. “One point five million.”
