Celeste’s POV
“Celeste? We need to talk.” My mother, Anika, said taking a seat right beside me.
We rarely talked nowadays, yet we maintained the close mother-daughter bond we had since the beginning. I sent a text to one of my friends before turning to face her.
“Yeah, what’s up?” I asked. Meeting her ocean-blue eyes, I couldn’t help but notice a tinge of emotion rooted deep in them. That’s when I knew that something was up.
“Mom, are you okay?” I tossed my phone down on the couch, shifting closer to her. She nodded, clearing her throat, “Goodness me. I’m getting a little emotional here, don’t mind your little old lady.” She giggled, trying to wear down the emotion of the moment.
“Well…” I leaned forward, “Tell me, what’s the tea?”
Mom took a shaky breath, bobbing her leg up and down as she gave a small smile.
This meant good news.
But, the words that left her mouth next were more shocking than anything.
“I’ve been seeing someone for a while, and….” she held her breath, “He proposed.
My eyes bulged so hard that they almost popped out of their sockets. It was as though the world stilled around me for just a moment, before my senses came rushing back to me.
“Mom…” I breathed, taking a hold of her warm hand.
“Celeste, I’m getting married!” She squealed, tossing her auburn hair to the back.
“Oh my God, this is huge. Why didn’t you tell me?” My brows wrinkled as I pulled her in for a tight embrace. “I’m so happy for you, Mom. You deserve all the good things and you know it.” I smiled, rubbing her back soothingly.
“I didn’t know how to break it to you darling. I didn’t know if you’d take it the right way. But, I’m happy that you’re okay with it.” She pulled away, a big smile on her face as tears threatened to spill from her eyes.
“No need to cry,” I sniffled, wiping the tears from her eyes. “This is the start of something new.”
“I asked you to pack because…we’re not just moving. We’re moving in with them.” She said, her voice going soft all of a sudden.
I blinked slowly, once, twice. “Mom, don’t you think that’s too soon?” I asked, raising a brow. I wanted to make sure she was making the right decision. Not just something blindly followed through by love.
“Not at all. It’ll be amazing. A fresh start for you as well.” She nodded, standing up and placing a few items into the big cardboard box in front of me.
“Well,” I scratched my head nervously, “Anything that makes you happy.”
“Great, now come help me pack. We’re leaving tomorrow.” She waved a hand, gesturing for me to help her out, and I obliged.

The next day went by in almost a blur. Mom and I quickly got into a moving truck and on the road. I couldn’t help but think to myself that this was all happening too fast—faster than I could comprehend. But at the end of the day, I didn’t have a choice. I only yearned for Mom’s happiness.
After Dad, things fell apart and she had a lot of depressive episodes. It took so many therapy visits and healing, but she got over it. So, I was happier than anything that she was ready to remarry now.
Now, all I had to do was…readjust. If I were going to move into this new home with my step-father, that meant that I was officially leaving my life in Fairfield behind. My train of thoughts was quickly cut off when the truck hit a pothole in the road.
No, not a pothole. It was a speed bump. I managed to look out of the window and was met with the most stunning mansion that I’d ever seen in my whole life. It stood tall, bathed in sunlight, its pristine white exterior gleaming like something out of a dream.
My mouth parted slightly. This wasn’t just wealth. It was power.
“Woah, Mom. Is he a billionaire or something?” I mumbled, as my eyes darted across the neatly mowed lawn, the big, beautifully trimmed bushes and the enormous entrance gates.
She gave a small, knowing smile, relaxing in her seat until the truck pulled in completely. “We’re officially here.” She sighed, unbuckling her seatbelt. Before she could say anything else, I was already out of the car, my breath hitching as I turned in a slow circle.
"It’s… beautiful," I whispered, almost to myself.
I barely registered the sound of my mom closing the truck’s door as I instinctively stepped forward, my shoes crunching softly against the gravel driveway. Everything about this place seemed so intimidatingly perfect. Even the air smelled different—smoky like pinewood, crisp and fresh. The sunlight felt warmer, as if this house stood under its golden glow.
So this is my new life. My new home.
A shiver ran down my spine, but it wasn’t out of fear. It was out of the uncertainty of what lie ahead for both Mom and me. My heart raced as Mom took hold of my hand and we moved closer to the mansion.
The front doors swung open before we could reach them. A man stepped out, his presence domineering even from a distance.
Theo Montclair.
My new stepfather.
I recognized him instantly from the few pictures my mom had shown me in the truck. Safe to say, he looked just as good in the photos as he did in real life. He was tall, broad shouldered, with a dazzling smile. His salt and pepper hair was styled neatly, as he fixed up his suit, nearing us.
"Celeste," he said warmly, descending the steps toward us. "Welcome home."
I froze mid-step as my eyes met his gray ones. It was as if all the words in my mind vanished as I looked at him. Not until Mom nudged me from the side.
“Celeste?” She nudged me with her elbow, her voice low, “Say something!” She hissed, just loud enough for only me to hear.
I cleared my throat, with a small nod. “Theo. I’ve heard so much about you.” I beamed, still in a bit of awe.
“Well, I hope they were all good things, hm?” He smiled, the dimple on his left cheek on full display. He stepped closer to Mom, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her in for a peck.
Oh, this was too soon.
My stomach turned as he pulled away. “Come, let’s go inside.” He urged, placing a hand on the small of my back. Funny enough, he didn’t feel like the two other boyfriends that Mom had in the past. No, he was calm, radiated intelligence and elegance, and–
HE WAS AN ALPHA?
My mouth hung open as I looked up at the first painting I saw once I stepped into the house.
The painting was humongous, stretching across nearly half the wall. Rich colours like gold and red had been merged and the artistic display was beautiful, but it wasn’t just that—It was the man in the middle that made my breath catch in my throat.
Theo.
He stood in the portrait exactly as I had seen him earlier—radiating authority, tall, composed. A crest was situated behind him, carved into the frame itself. It was a howling wolf, surrounded by a full moon.
My pulse thrummed, as I shook my head slowly.
No way. This couldn’t mean….
“No…” I mumbled under my breath, trying to convince myself that it was not what I thought.
I turned around, glancing between Theo and my mother. The similarity was impeccable. There was no way that that was not Theo.
Just then, I noticed the way all the servants and house staff had quickly gathered up once he walked in with us. Their heads hung low and each step they took was calculated and swift, almost as if they didn’t want to anger him.
Theo wasn’t just rich or powerful.
He was the Alpha of this pack.
The realization hit me like a truck. My body tensed immediately as my grip tightened on the strap of the backpack I had flung on my back earlier.
Theo must have noticed my expression because the corners of his lips tugged slightly upwards.
"You didn’t know?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.
I blinked rapidly, my words spurting out like a failing engine. "No—I mean, Mom never—" I cut myself off, shooting my mother a surprised look.
She smiled sheepishly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I didn’t think it mattered," she said lightly. "Theo is just…Theo to me."
Theo chuckled. "Yes Celeste, I am the Alpha here." His voice was smooth. “I hope that won’t be a problem.”
A problem?
I shook my head quickly. “No, not at all. This is just very unexpected.
Theo’s dimple deepened again as if he found my reaction amusing. “You’ll get used to it.”
Would I?
“The boys should be here any moment from now,” Theo said, glancing down at his watch cautiously.
I hummed in confusion, darting Mom another look. I was swimming in confusion right now, and there was no shore. It was almost as if I was left out in the dark about nearly everything. There were so many things that she hadn’t told me.
Step-siblings? Since when did that happen?
Almost as if she read my mind, she smacked her lips, “Sweetheart, I didn’t tell you, did I?” She hooked an arm onto Theo’s.
No, Mother. No, you did not.
I shot her a deathly glare.
“Ah…” My lips parted, but before I could say another word, the entrance doors burst open.
A chill ran down my spine as I gawked at the two men before me.
“Celeste, meet…” Theo said, extending a hand and gesturing to them.
“Cassian and Lucien.”
The words left my lips before I could stop them, barely above a whisper. Not loud enough for Theo to hear.
But, loud enough for one of these two men to realize that I was right where they wanted me to be.
Celeste’s POV“I-” “Meet Cassian and Lucien; your step-brothers,” Theo said, introducing us to one another. Oh, but I knew them. I knew them all too well. This was like a disaster waiting to happen. I couldn’t help but tighten my grip on the backpack as I stared at both men. “Cassian, Lucien. Meet Celeste, your step-sister.” Step-sister. The word sent an unnerving chill down my spine. Both brothers stood tall, towering over me as I looked up at them. They were handsome, no doubt with their perfectly styled hair and muscular bodies. Cassian’s blue eyes pierced mine as he gave a small, knowing smirk. While Lucien was almost unfazed. I couldn’t quite put a finger on what exactly it was, but his aura was much more different from Cassian’s.“Nice to meet you, sis.” He grinned, extending a hand. I had to just play it cool right now. This wasn’t the time for any funny business. Just play it cool, Celeste.I forced my grip on the backpack strap loose as I took his into mine, returning t
"Looks like you’re having fun without me?” Cassian frowned, a plate in his hand as he stared down at me. Mind you, my hand was still down my pants, and my shirt had been drawn so high up that he’d probably seen my boobs. I yelped, grabbing my blanket and quickly pulling it over myself. “Get out. Now!” I grit my teeth, grabbing onto the duvet so tight that my knuckles almost went white. “Oh, come on now. Don’t be like that, Celeste. Loosen up,” He smirked, “Have a little fun.” My face heated up as a pale blush spread over my features. Still, I wouldn’t let him get to me like this, “What are you even doing up here—in my room?” I spat, adjusting my clothes, my chest heaving. “Dad said I should bring up some cookies and milk. Seems you already got your dessert going on.” He not-so-subtly remarked, with a smug grin. “Oh my God. Just drop the plates and get out!” I screeched, covering my face with shame. And for the first time in a long time, Cassian listened to me. He silently obeyed
Celeste's POV.Was I going to let him take over me the same way he did twenty-four hours ago?I knew where this would end if I let him, so I put my hands before me to create some distance between the both of us and retreated. I ended up knocking over a bucket of water, but that was the least of my worries."Look what you did, avoiding the inevitable,” he teased."Stop." It took every fiber of resistance in me to mutter that single word. "I don't give a shit what you think about who I think I dance with, and you have no right to tell me whether or not to dance with him.""Are you sure? Cause your body is telling me otherwise,” he said with a smirk on his face as his eyes rested on my hardened nipples. "Your body is yearning to be controlled, and we both know that half man can't do the shit that I do to you."If there was anything that I concluded, it was that Cassian's ears were just aesthetics. There was no other logical explanation to how my warnings went over his head."I don't need
Celeste's POV.I can't believe I allowed him to have his way with me again. It took me more time than expected to regulate my breathing and calm my heartbeat. I finally got out of the Janitor's room and tried to find the nearest exit without being noticed, but Freya was too quick to find me."Celeste! Over here! Look up!", She waved her hands from a distance and I had no chicken but to wait for her."I've been looking around for you. What happened? I just saw you come out of the Janitor's room that your step brother came out from..."Stepbrother...That was probably the Moon Goddess spraying a salt of guilt on me by remembering who exactly I just that ungodly escapade with."... And why's your hair all scattered and strayed?"At first, I felt amused by the fact that she asked many questions bluntly, but right now, I hate it."Can we just go home, please? I'll tell my driver to drop you off at your place before taking me home.""Okay fine, but someone's here to see us off."I looked u
CELESTE'S POV.I popped my eyes open in fear.Who the hell was that? The room was too dark for me to see clearly, but I could've sworn that someone just walked into my room.I was still in a laying position when the stranger stopped by my bed.I tried to get up from the bed, but it felt like some force was keeping me down. I didn't know what it was, but it felt like some invisible being was on top of me.I began sweating profusely in the well air-conditioned room. What the fuck was going on?And who the fuck was this person?!Even though I was unable to move a muscle, I was wide awake, so I could see everything that was happening.I saw the stranger lean in and I immediately pick on his scent. Now I knew I was fucked."Seems you don't listen, my love", he whispered into my ear, I felt my insides begin to melt into nothing."C... Cassian... Wh... What are you doing here? What are you doing to me?" I quivered."You wouldn't be having this experience if you just listened to me when I tol
Celeste's POV.I tried to speak, but I couldn't find my voice. His grey metallic eyes rested on mine, and it felt like I was in a trance. He took another step and he raised his hands. The closer his hands came to me, the more I yearned for his touch.I suddenly saw his hands go over me and he reached for something above me. He finally came back with a bottle of seasoning in his hands. "Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?", He questioned as his casually walked away. Was he kidding me?How the fuck would he do all of that without even touching me?I was frustrated at this point. It felt like I was about to run mad."Why are you doing this?", I suddenly blurted."Doing what?""Messing with my head like it's a fucking toy."He chuckled and began slicing a bulb of onions. "I don't know what you're talking about.""Do you do this to every girl to meet?""Could you help me turn that broth before it begins to burn? Thank you."I was pissed and frustrated, but the way he sounded so domi

RATED 18!Celeste's POV.He took me to the living room and laid me on one of the sofas."Did I tell you that you have the sexiest body that was ever created?" He whispered in my ear.I'd never heard anyone say that to me in my life, and immediately his words sifted through my ears, I felt my pussy drip with lustful fluid. He began sucking on my nipples and by the time he was satisfied, they had marks of his teeth around them.Without warning, I felt his massive length slide into my pussy and I gasped, taking some time to readjust myself so he wouldn't hit my cervix badly.Slowly, he began going back and forth, his meat dragging every nerve ending in my vagina with its every movement."Lucian... Fuckkk...", I cooed and curled with each stroke he made.He began to pick up the pace, and he was pounding my pussy mercilessly, leaving me to drown in both pain and pleasure. As he kept drilling me, he kept his gaze on m
Celeste's POV.I saw the stun on his face, and I felt like I was in control of the situation for the first time.I didn't know how long it was going to be for though."What happened last night?""Oh, is that what we're doing now? Acting like I just magically found my way here last night and slept over with my clothes off?""I'm well aware of what happened last night. You sound like you're regretting it now. Are you having a hard time accepting it?""It? You mean I have a hard time accepting the fact that I slept with my stepbrother?" I rephrased it as a casual question."I think you're just grumpy from hunger,” he sat down on the bed beside me and picked up a chunk of the fried egg on the plate. "I did something different with this one. Try it out and tell me what you think-"I slapped the fried egg out of his hands when I saw him slowly bringing it to my mouth."You want to know what I think? I think you're a psychopath.” I blurted."Are you feeling that much guilt over one night of
Celeste's POV."Hey you, give me three more bottles of vodka!!"Through my blurry eyes, I saw him hesitate with a look begging me to pity myself, but it only got me angrier. "Are you standing there because you're deaf, or because you're stupid? Did you know here me make an order? Will you get out of here and get back with my order?!", I dismissed him angrily, and he had no choice but to go get the drinks I order.I felt music getting dizzy. The tip of my fingers were getting numb. I couldn't feel my legs anymore, and I knew I was temporarily paralyzed by intoxication.I'd never gone this deep into alcohol in my entire life. I was an introvert - a nerdy naive girl who had a late bloom, so I'd just started drinking recently and lightly. But tonight was different. I'd consumed eight bottles of vodka tonight, but I still hadn't had a night. It was almost midnight. Hours had passed since that surreal panic attack, but the memories of Ryan drugging me and trying to rape was still as vivid a
Celeste's POV."Do you like it?"I simply nodded and kept the empty cup by my side when I took the last spoon."There's a new spot that opened up when you were at Lebinnin. They make really good pasta. Do you want to try the place out-""Just take me home, Lucian. You don't need to take what the doctor said about keeping me company too serious. I'm a grown woman who can take care of herself."I knew I was a little harsh, and I could feel my wolf burning me from the inside, but pushing him away was the only way I could get him out of my space so I don't have to deal with the guilt."That's true", he said after he noticed the coldness. "I'm sure you're tired and you need some rest."There was an awkward silence between the both of us for a while, and my wolf made tangible use of the deafening silence to beat me up."I need to go get something quickly. It won't take long - are you sure you'll be alright by yourself?""I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'm a grown woman who can t
Celeste's POV."Do you have flashes about the unfortunate situation?" The elderly doctor asked with his large glasses on his nose and his pen on a medical report, ready to jot my answer down. How was I going to tell him that the mere question forced my head back to last night?"Not as frequent as I expected. It comes and goes occasionally."That was the only solid lie I could come up with. I couldn't let him know that I still saw Ryan's haunting image in my head, and I couldn't get it out no matter how hard I tried."Have you had panic attacks since that incident?""No," I lied, trying to ignore the time I had a breakdown seconds before Cassian walked into my room last night."Your body still hurts a little?""Yes. But I don't even notice it."He stared at me with a skeptical look on his face before writing down his thoughts on my answers.Lucian took me to the nurses to have a series of tests that I didn't know I needed. After that, he made sure he was he was present as they cleaned
Celeste's POVI felt the tingle of the late morning sun on my skin.My body was too weak to even make a turn from the rays of the sun that found their way past my window and threatened to blind me.I yawned and stretched a little before I collapsed back on the bed. This had been the first time in days that I'd actually gotten a good night sleep. A lot had happened in the past three days, and I was both physically hurt and emotionally traumatized. I thought about what would've been become of me if Cassian didn't save me.I was stubborn and stupid, but Cassian risked his life and his being to make sure that I was permanently safe. No one in my life had done that for me. People wanted to me alive, but Cassian was willing to lay his life down for me, despite the way that I treated him.I tried to turned to the side to dissolve the guilt that I felt in me when I thought of what I put him through.I should've listened to him from the start, but I decided to let jealousy get the best of me,
Cassian's POV.Two hours. That's how long I had my glues to the whitewashed ceiling above me, watching the fan spin above me endlessly. The only change I got to wash myself off Ryan's blood was after the rebuking I got from my father. I didn't bother having anything to eat knowing fully well that it wouldn't digest. It was silent and cold in the wee hours of the morning already, but the voice in my head and the flashes I got from hours ago were so loud and vivid, I was this close to running mad.I felt pangs of guilt hit me as I turned uncomfortably for the umpteenth time tonight, and it wasn't from killing Ryan.Granted, Ryan deserved his death for trying to rape Celeste or anyone at all, but that was not the drive to my murder.I didn't kill him because he raped Celeste. I didn't kill him for hurting Jennifer, someone who did something but love him dearly, only to pin the consequences of his actions on me for years.I killed him to hide the truth from the rest of the wolf realm. The
Cassian's POV."You stupid bastard!!!"I stared down at my feet, but from the corner of my eye, I saw my father pick up the glass cup from his table and I knew what was going to happen next.I dodged immediately he swung the glass cup at me, making it miss my head narrowly and shattering upon impact with the wall behind me."You've been nothing short of an arrogant fool, and you have peaked it tonight!! How stupid could you be?!! How dare you?!!""It wasn't my fault, father. I tried my best to hold my anger-""You tried to hold your anger?! Okay then, hold this!!" He picked up knife and flung it straight for my head, but I was fast enough to dodge it this time. Before I could save myself, the edge stretched the corner of my head, taking a huge part of my skin with it.But that was not all.I was still trying to nurse the pain when I saw him charge at me with so much speed. I broke the wall the behind me when he speared me, causing me to fall to my knees and cough out blood."You deser
Cassian's POV."Cassian! we can talk about this-"But the heat in me blocked my ears. I charged at the bastard with wolf speed and speared him with everything in me. I didn't let go of him to make him feel the impact, so we went crashing out through the window from the top floor of a two storey building to the ground outside."Goodness!! Two men just fell from the top floor! Call the ambulance or something!!""Wait a minute... Is that not the heir to the throne, stark naked and bleeding?""What the fuck is happening?!"The party feeling had been overwhelmed with the bloody occurrences and people had began filing out to witness what was happening.I was supposed to end this here and now to save face, but there was nothing I could do with this fury that had been built up for years, except to unleash it on the person who built it up."C... Cassian", Ryan dragged himself up after taking some time on the ground to nurse his pain. "We can talk about this. Remember that you're my brother fro
WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️ ⚠️ CONTAINS SOME DARK WORDS THAT MIGHT TRIGGER SOME REACTIONS.Cassian's POV.I began sifting through the party people having the time of their lives to an upbeat mix, trying to find my way out of this chaotic maze to get to her.I heard Shantel calling out to me, but I paid no attention till she got lost in the midst of the lively guests.Freya was supposed to direct me to the room, but she was tired and slow.I finally got away from the people and began climbing up the stairs. No matter how fast I moved, my wolf stressed me for not getting there fast enough. If he made a mess of her or killed her, I would end his life, but I wouldn't be able to forgive myself till I leave this life."Cassian? Don't do anything stupid. I'm heading there now..."It wasn't until now that I realized Lucian was still on the phone with me and he had listened to the conversation between Freya and I. "Cassian!! Are you listening to me? The main goal is to save Celeste. Don't do anything that
Cassian's POV."I remember when we used to have these moments when we were together. It felt like time stopped, but it also felt like that time flew by so quickly. Those were the best moments of my life."I was confused by Shantel's words considering the fact that she was the one who left me, but she was not my problem tonight. The proposal I just witnessed doubled the weight of my heart. It was one thing for that bastard to ask her to be his wife before me, but was Celeste so dense to accept the proposal of someone she just met three days ago?Over me?I had waves of different emotions flooding my system, but I was confused, most of all.Celeste was a lot of things, but she was not dumb. Even though she hated me with everything in her, she was stupid to accept Ryan's proposal."I remember when you used to be so romantic. You would wake me up with breakfast in bed after a very hot session the night before. We'd have the longest baths and giggle all day long in each other's arms. You'd
