The Moon Festival

Mikhail Rostov, the leader of the Blackrose pack who unlike his age still reminds a handsome, tall, and strong man was the host of the most important event for all the packs, the annual moon festival or coming of age ceremony; the day when the youngest wolves become adults and receive the hierarchies mark from the moon, since ancient time is it well known that their society was divided into three hierarchies alphas that possess the mark of a flame of fire, the betas that have a drop of water, and the omegas that have the figure of a crystal with three peaks that could seem like a heart.

A lot of years ago also existed two more hierarchies, the gammas that had a mark in form of a tree, and deltas that had their mark with two lines intertwined but those hierarchies were only a legend nowadays.

They were in the middle of December when the winter was quieter and somehow warm so Mikhail decided to host the ball at the frozen lake of his state, the gift he prepared for his guests was a pair of ice skates, it was a new product that a lot of people use in the capital city of the neighborhood kingdom.

The workers from Rostov's house prepare some large tables with food, hot chocolate, and sweets, they put some decoration for the trees, candles all around the lake that illuminates it, and hang some others in the trees to make them seems as if they were floating in the air. 

Mikhail put extra care on a platform decorated with pink roses because he was informed that there the leader of Sunshine pack, Alucard Krinwood was going to propose to Alice Winterlane, the second daughter of the Moonlight pack’s leader. The wedding between them was music for all the pack leader's ears because since long time ago the Moonlight and Sunshine pack had a bad relationship, they always fought for the control of the territory but with the pass of the years, they start to attack each other without people dying in war. Unfortunately, all the other packs always received the damage from their fights, that's why they celebrate their union more than anyone else.

The ambient at the ball was good, people had to wear a mask for the thematic but when they were enjoying the mystery.

The doors of the entrance were open and a boy with white hair came in, even though he was wearing his mask all of them know exactly who he was, Jaden Winterlane, more known as "the fake omega" because none of the alphas could smell him. Mikhail's first son, Victor had been waiting for his coming of age ceremony to ask for Jaden's hand in marriage, but like always he was very rude.

"My little snowflake you came!" Victor said with that seductive tone, but Jaden frowns his eyebrows with disgust.

" How many times do I have to tell you? My name is Jaden" he answers with a cold voice.

"You don't understand my little snowflake you're mine"

Mikhail sight with tiredness, he doesn't know where Victor learns that way to flirt from.

"Vitya be a gentleman, welcome dear Jaden, please don't mind the words of my son he is very rude, have some fun"

"Thank you so much, duke Rostov"

Victor was a very handsome and tall man, his skin has a dark tone very sexy, his eyes look like they were white and not grey and his golden hair was very enchanting. That night Victor was wearing an elegant suit in wine color with a white shirt, a golden tie, and a white stamped coat with creepers and Black roses.

Jaden could sneak away from the alpha thanks to the intervention of Mikhail, and when Victor was going to follow him a multitude of women was surrounded him stopping his way to Jaden.

Jaden took some food and then slowly hide in a tree shadow, the party only started but he was already tired and sick of that.

The hymn of the Sunshine pack sounds in all the place, Alucard the leader of the Sunshine pack entered the garden with his sister Layla Krinwood and his mother Elizabeth Krinwood, all were wearing attires in green color but only the suit of Alucard was a little dark. His black coat was stamped with red roses, they were the only one's members of the main family since his father Kaylius die three years ago and he becomes the new archduke of the Sunshine pack. 

The ladies were fascinated by Alucard, he with that short black hair, his red eyes like rubies, his pale skin, his coffee smell, and his well-worked body which was hot make the young girls sight.

Jaden knows very well which pack entered just now but he doesn't care so he didn't look at them. All his life was hearing his mother said that he has forbidden to look at sky are, firstly because he wasn't an alpha and he could embarrass his pack and secondly because he could be the husband of Alice, Jaden was tired sick of hearing those words because he doesn't need to look at him, he wasn't interested in handsome guys.

The host Mikhail and his son Victor came to greet them but when Alucard and Victor saw each other they glare with disgust like they were going to fight. Alucard's mother pinches his arm and whispers "behave yourself", Mikhail makes the same to his son, unlike their dislike, the two of them didn't have more option than say “Hi” in a polite way but Alucard ran very far away from the party.

The noise of steps makes Jaden comes back to reality and with curiosity pay attention to the other guy hiding next to him, his mouth opened without thinking, and talk with his clear and sweet voice, his tone was quiet but firm.

"You seem bored" He didn't expect an answer but when that manly and grave voice speaks to him all of his body shivers, that was an unknown feeling but it wasn't disgusting for Jaden.

"So do you, if you're here and not there dancing"

"I don't mind this festival" Jaden stopped after that and talks again when he felt more comfortable "I know that it's going to be a disaster"

"A disaster? Why?"

Yes, why? Why was he talking about that? Jaden's mind stops for a minute. why was he talking about his problems with a completely strange guy? 

Jaden bites his lips before answer. "There is always a problem when I'm with my family"

"That sounds bad, are you not going to look for your mate like everyone else?"

 "Of course not… my mom wants to get rid of me so if a find my mate today I'm gonna kick his or her butt for doing what she desires"

The man laughs at the words that make Jaden's face turn red, fortunately, the other couldn't see him, a quiet silence rounded them before the strange guy started to speak again.

"I agree with that, if I find her now it's bad news for my family business"

The word her make Jaden uncomfortable, how could that man be sure that his mate could be only a girl and not a boy? He felt disappointed and when Jaden realizes that understand that has a little crush on that guy maybe because of his voice, that was the first time he feels something like that.

"I'm Jaden"

"Alucard... nice to meet you"

That was a very sexy name that makes Jaden imagine himself telling it but Jaden knew who was he. His sister's fiancé Alucard Krinwood, a person that was supposed to avoid at any cost but now he was there talking to him.

"Yeah...nice to meet you too"

"How long are you going to hide there?" Jaden laughs this time and answers him ignoring the previous question.

"Well I hope you don't find your mate tonight Alucard"

"I wish you the same Jaden"
