Chapter one hundred and fourty one

"Are you okay?" Aiden lifted his head and asked. Does it mean he is pretending not to know what I did or is he just asking for asking sake?

"Yes, I am Aiden. I just had a bad dream and that's it," I lied turning my neck to look at him. "Oh.. okay... think your soul doesn't like this place or does it happen constantly or it's just a dream?"

Rolling my eyes at his reply, I answered, "It's just a dream Aiden. Go back to sleep, I'll be fine."

Shifting closer to me, Aiden replied, "If you feel scared or anything, don't hesitate to call me okay? Now close your eyes 'cause we have a long way ahead of us."

Immediately he said that I was happy that he didn't press on the matter, or maybe he didn't hear me or notice. But what if he was pretending? Did it really matter? Does it really matter?
