Chapter one hundred and fourteen

Two weeks had passed by since my mom last came home. She stayed at the hospital, walking day and night while I stayed at home with Elias and Aiden. I was always in my room, with the door shut and blasting some music through my ears, reading and sleeping.

The only time I went out was whenever I wanted to get food. Elias on the other hand, stayed in his room always too while Aiden remained the balcony man. Throughout my stay there, I made sure I limited anything that would lead to an unnecessary conversation, especially with Aiden.

One day, I decided to step out of my cave and I went to the living room and sat, switched on the TV. Like a monitoring spirit, Aiden came downstairs and walked quietly, and sat down.

My blood boiled, not because he came and sat in the living room but because he sat next to me. "I don't think you should still be here," Aiden let out.

I looked away from the screen to his face, my mute remained mute as I returned to watching the TV. "Why are you still here?" Aid
