Chapter ninety seven

"Yes... I'll be going. We'll talk on the phone okay?' I said to him. "Okay let me drop you off," Roland said, coming down from the bed. He took out his clothes from the wardrobe and wore them while I waited for him to get dressed.

We went out of his house, got into the car and then he drove me back home. Within an hour, we arrived at the house. In front of the gate, he halted his car and held my palms. "You are gonna be okay, come here hun" He dragged me in for an embrace as the smell of his skin which smelt like Lavender filled my nostrils.

"Come here," He said to me and kissed my forehead. "Bye bye! Stay safe okay?" He added as he stretched to open the car door from my side. I stepped out of the car and gave him one last wave and began moving back home. As I opened the gate, I turned back to look in his direction but he was still there watching me.

I took a step into the house, immediately I got in, my phone vibrated making me check the message notification. "Two million dollars?"
