Hanna had spent so much time in bed that she eventually fell asleep. She woke up mid-morning when she heard footsteps coming her way.

"Good morning. I decided to let you rest a little," Davis said kindly as he approached. He wore gray pants with white stripes and a fine linen shirt, perfect for hot days. "But you need to eat," he added, pointing to the table where a full breakfast was laid out on the large balcony of the room.

Hanna frowned, wondering how she had just woken up when he had done all of this with her right there. But she realized she had only woken because he wanted her to wake at that moment.

"I don’t want to eat anything," Hanna murmured, staying in bed.

"Come on," he sighed, still upbeat. "You slept like a rock since the trip, and it’s already almost the end of the morning. I was waiting for you, and I thought we could eat something together," he insisted, as Hanna gave him a blank stare.
