Chapter 106: Confusing Pain

Hanna felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, as well as in her back, but with the little strength she had, she made her way to her room and curled up on the bed, hugging herself as she cried under the covers.

Morgan returned to his office, suddenly overwhelmed by guilt. It seemed that everything was leading his relationship with Hanna to decline further each time.

Lory, informed by a message that Hanna was already home, headed to her room with light, worried steps. She had learned from Oliver on the way that Morgan had gone to the annex to talk to Hanna.

When she entered the room, Lory was met with a scene that made her even more anxious. Hanna was curled up on the bed, her eyes closed as she appeared to be in pain.

"What happened?" she asked, approaching Hanna and carefully examining her. She noticed that Hanna had a bruised wrist. "I heard Morgan was here, and I can only imagine you two fought, but this..." she muttered, her expression darkening with ang

She awoke to loud bangs on her door and backed away, startled."Mrs. Hanna, please open the door!" Hanna recognized Oliver's voice and opened the door.As soon as she did, Oliver and Gantz entered, carrying Morgan."I don't know what happened," Oliver explained, frightened. "He was lying on the ground, completely soaked...""Heavens..." Hanna examined Morgan. He had undoubtedly spent the entire night outside in the freezing cold, and the morning was still so cloudy it didn't even seem like daylight had broken."Take him upstairs to one of the guest rooms," she instructed as the men climbed the stairs. She followed them but tried to stop them."No!" she protested when they intended to enter her room."Miss Hanna..." Oliver hesitated. "I'm sorry, but we need to leave him in your care. He needs to change clothes and be warmed up. These coming days will be extremely cold, so ta

**Chapter 108: A Living Son?**Lory and Oliver waited anxiously for Gantz in the living room. As soon as he appeared, holding a package in his hands, the tension intensified."Is this medicine... for sleeping?" Gantz asked, handing the bottle to Oliver. "He had bought something at the pharmacy, but I couldn’t see what."Oliver finally understood the situation. "Yes, it’s for sleeping," he confirmed. "But the number of pills seems excessive for someone who just started taking it yesterday."Lory took the bottle from Oliver's hands, examining it carefully. "I know this medication," she said with concern. "But the prescribed amount is high for someone who’s using it recently.""Does he need a stomach pump?" Oliver asked, worried about Morgan's health."He needs a brainwash to stop being so reckless!" Lory exclaimed, irritated by the situation. "It’s been years since Morgan started hiding his problems," she continued, her voice heavy with sadness. "He’s always had trouble sleeping, and hi

**Chapter 109: His Touch**Hanna was completely lost in Morgan's kiss. It was as if their bodies were floating in a sea of sensations, her mind dissolving into a whirlwind of desire and passion.Suddenly, the kiss was interrupted. Morgan looked at her with a mischievous smile, trying to stifle a laugh at Hanna's dazed expression.“What is it?” he asked in a husky, gentle voice.“I want you to get off me now,” she requested, turning her gaze away with shyness and nervousness. “Let me go…”“But who undressed me?” he asked, still on top of her.Hanna felt her cheeks flush, a mix of embarrassment and nervousness. “I…,” she stammered, unsure of what to say.“Are you going to run away from me again?” he asked, his voice filled with resentment. “And only show up when I’m dying? I can arrange for that…” he suddenly said, breathless, but not because of the fever still burning him.“Are you still delirious?” Hanna questioned skeptically. “And besides… I don’t care if you live or die…” She press

I'm completely baffled by this situation.""I don't know," Lory replied, lost in her thoughts. "But there's no hiding it anymore after today. What am I going to say to Morgan?""Well... I find it unlikely that he remembers nothing," Oliver commented calmly, his gaze distant. "The important thing is that those two sort things out; it's long overdue."They were speaking in hushed tones when Hanna descended the stairs, still wearing a coat."Are you leaving, Miss Hanna?" Lory stood up, apprehensive."Yes... I need to go to the university; I left some important data there," she said, using a hat to cover her face. "But before I go, Lory..." She approached her friend, her voice low and hesitant. "I don’t know if Morgan realized the trut

He knew that Danica and Hanna were the same person, and the revelation was eating him up inside. An ironic smile formed on his lips, laden with bitterness and frustration."You think I'm stupid!" Morgan asserted, grabbing Oliver by the collar with force. His eyes blazed with anger and indignation. "You were really willing to let me be deceived, weren't you?""Damn it!" Oliver muttered, pulling away abruptly from Morgan's grip. "How long have you known?""Well... I was already suspicious," Morgan replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Besides, when she had a fever, she mentioned a brother. And after that, things didn't match up with the life story she told me, but they did with Hanna's life."He let out a mocking laugh. "Lory herself had said she had no relatives," he continued. "And suddenly, a niece and a sister? How does that work? Lory was an immigrant who came here alone

**Ch. 166: Each Life** The next day, Gabriel accompanied Hanna on a tour of the places mentioned in the will she had inherited. However, there was still one place she dreaded visiting—the hospital room where her father lay. Despite her reluctance, Hanna knew she had to see him, understand his condition, and decide what to do. "Do you really want to see him?" Gabriel asked hesitantly as they stopped in front of the door to the room. Hanna remained silent, her head bowed, displaying apprehension and sorrow. Her emotions were conflicted: she didn’t want her father to die, yet she harbored deep resentment for his actions. "I just don’t want him to die," she admitted, her voice thick with emotion. "It wouldn’t be fair to strip so many people of their freedom for years and then just die like that." "He’s an old man now," Gabriel offered, trying to console her. "Still filled with malice..." Hanna smiled, but it was a disconcerted and melancholic smile. "Can you imagine he wante

**Chapter 161: Ortiz Castle**Hanna decided to go with Lins that same day. Despite wanting to return, she was afraid of facing Davis again and feared he might discover her pregnancy and that she hadn’t lost the baby. "For my child’s life, I’d rather go..." she sighed to herself in front of the bathroom mirror. At that moment, she longed for a peaceful place. At the same time, her brother crossed her mind, but she didn’t know if she should tell Lins about the child’s existence. Even so, she still didn’t fully trust Lins, but he seemed like the safest option to protect herself at that moment, especially since she believed Morgan was now closer to Maya. After landing, they drove to an old city. With many well-preserved, picturesque old houses, it was a populous place with warm and cheerful people. H

**Chapter 160: Lins, My Father?**“How is her health?” the raspy, grating voice of the elderly man echoed in Hanna’s ears. “She’s in quite a weakened state,” the doctor explained. “It seems like she’s been neglected for a long time, which has made her frail. She has a cut on her leg that needs attention because it’s deep enough to get infected, but that’s not even the most critical thing. She’s pregnant.” When the doctor revealed this, Lins raised his eyebrows. “Yes…” he sighed, restless. “I heard she’s married to an important man.” “What do you want me to do regarding the child?” the doctor asked calmly. “Nothing. What do you think should be done?” Lins asked, indifferent. “I thought you might want to terminate the pregnancy,” the doctor commented. “I’m not considering that,” Lins replied firmly. “Let her have the baby. After investigating the hospital and the day she was there, I found out that her ‘perfect husband’ tried to terminate the pregnancy without her consent.
