As dawn broke, Richard was already up, admiring the tangle of sheets and, beneath them, his sleepy wife, until he heard a subtle knock on his door. He immediately recognized, without even opening it, that it was Jayden. Upon opening the door, judging by the expression on the young man's face, Richard deduced that something he had been striving for had finally succeeded.

They both headed to the office, visibly concerned about what had just been discovered.

"After so many years, I can hardly believe he finally slipped," commented Richard.

"Supposedly... in fact, I'm sure that woman he's meeting secretly is his mother."

"I'm sure she is!" Richard asserted firmly, even though the woman's face was not visible in the photos, as she insisted on wearing a scarf and dark glasses at every encounter.

"Considering she's apparently an older woman and he's always showing affection, it's very likely."
