Chapter 58. Taylor's Cowardice.

"Good evening," she replied curtly, walking over to the wardrobe, ignoring him in a way that he noticed.

"Are you okay? What did you do all day?"

"I enjoyed myself," she commented indifferently as she lazily picked a linen nightgown from among the clothes.

Richard approached her and, standing behind her, leaned in, bringing his nose close to her neck; his scent made her eyes light up with a new discovery.

"I missed you," he murmured, hugging her tightly around the waist, pressing her against his body.

"Maybe," she murmured, forcefully pushing his arms away. "Maybe... you found something much better, so..."

"So what?" he asked sharply, tightening his grip, making her give up struggling, feeling suffocated.

"Richard is hurting me."

"Where have you been?"

"I just went out for some time!" she grumbled, annoyed.

"Why are you so upset?" he asked, releasing her. She turned to face him, glaring fiercely.
