Lexi’s pov

“Mark me,” I blurted.

Nathan’s furrowed brow softened as his eyes rose to meet mine.

“Seriously, Lexi?”

Nodding my head I swallowed nervously.

“I'm already carrying our child and feel that I should have your mark on me as well,” I said boldly.

Watching his lip curl and expecting him of all wolves I had known to readily agree I was shocked when he shook his head.

“Before I do that I need to apologize for my past behavior…,” he started but I placed my two fingers on his mouth.

“I have forgiven you and Nolan and don't want to live in the past. The present is a far better place to exist,” I told him firmly.

Pinching his lips he shook his head.

“I kind of enjoyed feeling and hearing your bones breaking…I'm not a kind person, Lexi and it will give me great pleasure to rip out my mother's throat,” he said in all seriousness.
