Immediately my words stopped and I looked at him. Without hesitation I looked down and walked towards the exit of the room, however, before I could take another step, Bennet stopped in front of me to stop me.

/You're staying/ He said in his dangerous voice.

At the sound of it, my legs were paralysed. My body began to tremble and my hands were sweating with fear.

/Brother.../ Freddy said wanting to grab my arm.

But Bennet responded with a furious look. At that Freddy lowered his hand and frowned. Even though I could see his annoyance, he just remained silent and left the room in compliance with his older brother's order.

As soon as everyone had left the room, I had been left alone with Bennet, who locked the door behind me, causing a wave of nerves to sweep over me.

In an instant he was standing in front of me with his dangerous alpha aura and his fists clenched.

Before I could finish speaking he reached out his arm and grabbed my neck tightly /So, what did you call me in the great hall?/ He said.

I looked into his eyes and was completely mesmerised. His features, his voice, his look, everything about this man had me completely spellbound. However, my breath was coming in short gasps and gasps escaped my lips.

As soon as I heard that, my eyes reddened and the tears came one after the other. I had never cared for Bennet, in fact, I had never seen him as anything more than a brother-in-law, but now, he was willing to kill you just for the decisions of the moon goddess.

It was clear that he did not agree with this bond. However, I wasn't to blame, I didn't even want to destroy his engagement to Monique, I just wanted to run away from this damned place and disappear completely.

I cursed myself internally for the horrible fate the goddess had prepared for me. Bennet wanted to kill me, but if he rejected me, my destiny would also be death.

At that, I let out a sigh and stopped, I had no choice but to wait for my slow and painful death.

However, just as I was waiting for darkness, Bennet loosened his grip on my neck and released me on the ground.

/I didn't...I couldn't control myself. I had no choice but to come to you/ I said trying to make him understand that I was not the one in control of my body.

However, Bennet tightened his grip even tighter. I could feel how his claws almost dug into my skin.

/Why the hell did you do it in front of everyone? You thought it was the way everyone would find out? Why couldn't you wait until you were alone? You had to be a stupid bitch to claim our bond!/ He said, gritting his teeth.

My eyes let out tear after tear, I knew my fate was death, so I didn't want to wait any longer.

/Reject me... I want you to reject me!/ I said with a cry.

At that moment Bennet loosened his grip and opened his eyes completely surprised by my words. /You are an idiot? you would never have come to me if you really wanted to be rejected!/ He said trying to understand my decision.

He let go of my jaw and pushed me to the ground again. I groaned in pain as he got up and walked towards the door. But before he left, I stood up and looked at him.

/Reject me alpha Bennet. I don't want you, nor do I want to be your mate, just get it over with!/ I said demanding.

I had been through so much humiliation, and I wanted it all to end once and for all.

However, as I finished my words, Bennet turned to me with a smirk and his dark gaze. At his alpha command, I couldn't help but bow to him.
