Sighing, I got up from my desk and walked out of my office into Bennett's huge office. I stood in front of the door and felt how my legs were shaking.

With a sigh, I tapped the door three times and waited to hear him.

"You can come in," he said.

As soon as I heard him, I quickly turned the knob and opened the door to his office. When I entered the office, however, I didn't see Bennett. Had I not heard Bennett in the office?

I scanned the place a little confused, but just as I was about to look into the room there, his gruff, serious voice came from behind me.

"What do you think you're looking for in there?" he asked.

With a gasp, I turned and saw him there, sitting on his couch with a glass of wine in his hand.

Fuck, the light from the window was streaming across his face, making his light eyes light up the room, and his features looked incredibly perfect from that angle. Even his scent flooded my nostrils like a perfect autumn.
