Chapter twenty-nine

David's POV 

Charlies eyes search mine looking for some answer that I can't give her right now.

I don't know what to think, or how to feel?

Blinding betrayal is the only thing that comes to mind.

"I don't know if I can ever forgive you for this Charlie, so whatever conversation you want to have right now, save it. I just want to see my son and spend some time with him, so can we go in and get him? Now?" I ask.

Her eyes hold mine for an extended moment, ready to protest. I can see it written all of her face, I know she wants to hash this out but I can't. 

It's not that easy for me and I can't go there right now.

"Please Char?" I urge.

"Sure." She turns and stalks into the ice cream shop, as soon as we're through the door Killian spots us.

"Mommmmy!" Killian calls as he barrels towards us and jumps into Charlie's arms nearly knocking them both over.

Watching the two of them together makes my ches
