Chapter fifty-two

David's POV 

An hour of packing up his room and helping Charlie pack up other little things around the house turned into five, way past his normal bedtime.

"Alright monkey, up the stairs. Go get ready for bed."

"Awwwww, now?" He asked. 

"Killian, your mother said it's time for bed buddy."

Charlies eyes fell quickly to mind as Killian sighed dramatically. Picking himself up off the floor and dragging himself towards the stairs, he turned around to look at me.

"Daddy? Can you tuck me in?" He asked.

"I would love nothing more," I said.

Once more I followed out little boy up the stairs, and he walked me through his nightly routine. I stood outside the bathroom while he took a shower and brushed his teeth. Asking me to pick out pajamas for him, I went back into his room and dug around until I found an awesome set of dinosaur pants.
