Chapter fifty-five

David's POV 

Asking Charlie and Killian to move in with me was a pivotal moment in our relationship. I was finally done harbouring the hatred and anger towards her. Finally ready to let go of everything that happened in the past, to move forward. Together. As a family.

Pulling up to Charlie's house, a new sense of calm washed over me.

Im so ready for this new chapter between us, so ready to start our lives together with our son.

"Daddy!!!" Killian yelled as he came running at me full speed to jump up into my arms.

"Hey buddy, how are you?"

"Good, mommy said you guys wanted to talk to me about something?" 

"Yes, come on. Let's go and sit on the porch."

Meeting Charlie's eyes over Killian's head I could see the wariness all over her face.

If this conversation didn't go like we expected, if Killian said no to all of us living together.. I'm not sure what this would mean for us.
