Confused to the core

"What do l do?" She asked herself as she rubbed her face.

"What have you done Lilith? You are a murderer".

"No no no Nex" Lilith cried. "It was not intentionally, l didn't mean to do any of this. Please Nex you have to believe me. It is not my fault".

"Oh really Lilith but you just murdered Lrya in cold blood. How could you even be capable of such. I might be your friend, but l won't conceal evil. I am reporting this straight to sensei Moran". He said with a serious face as he walked out on her. "I am so sorry Lilith".

"No Nex please. Not displine sensei Moran. Please Nex don't do this to me. I might get expelled or even worst, serve a nation wide punishment. Please Nex". Lilith fell to the floor as she cried her eyes out to Nex but all her pleas fell on deaf ears as he just left her there all alone.

"Oh no, no no!" She screamed into her palm out of fustration. Why was all this happening to her, why did she make the mistake of hitting Lyra. She placed her forehead on the ground in a bow pose as she cried to the earth begging it to open up and swallow her for she just could understand what was going on anymore. She remained that way till she heard a very familiar voice say her name.

"Lilith?"

"Andreas!" She turned around and saw him standing f*e steps away from her. She ran toward him and immediately embraced him as she cried proufusely into his chest.

"What's the matter?" He asked her with much concern in his voice.

"Andreas l killed someone" she managed to say within her out burst.

"You what?" He was short of words. "Who is that and why?"

"Her name is Lyra" she sniffed "she was a bully and was really annoying. She attacked me first and l was only defending myself, l did not mean to kill her Andreas l swear!"

"Its ok Lilith l believe you completely. Did anyone see you?"

"Yes Nex just left and he has gone to report me to sensei Moran the disciplinarian. My time here is totally done for" she burst in to tears again. "Andreas please. Help me. I don't want to be kicked out of this institute, it has been my dream since l was young. Please help me Andreas!"

"It's ok Lilith. No one is sending you out of this institute. I promise you that" he assured her as he hugged her dearly. "Where is this Lyra?" He asked with his eyes darting around.

"Over there" Lilith pointed to Lyra's lifeless body.

Andreas walked to it and stared at it for some seconds. He really didn't think it wise to show his true strengths to Lilith now, but he had no choice. He had to save her from this situation and the only way he could do it was to breathe life to the dead Lyra. No! He persisted. Lilith must not know what he was truly capable of, for her own good so he decided to send her away.

"Lilith go your room and get your first aid kit, l think she is still breathing". He said looking at her seriously that there was no way she could have known he was lying.

"Really? She is?" Lilith was very happy to hear that Lyra still had life in her. "I will go now" she rushed out immediately to her room, not to waste anytime.

'Good'. Andreas turned back to Lyra's corpse. He raised her head a bit and opened her mouth. Then he leaned over her and breathed into her his breathe of life, jolting her back to reality after which he just left her to get to Lilith. There was no use staying since she would not be able to see him to say thank you. Not as if he wanted any appreciation, because he did it just for Lilith.

Lyra coughed deeply as she opened her eyes slowly. She sat up a bit as she looked around her, trying to recognize the place. But it wasn't ringing a bell at all. She stood from the floor, brushing off the sand from her dress as she wondered what she was doing on the floor anyway. She was still dusting her self but was interrupted by the voice of someone from few paces away.

"Lyra?" The voice called in surprised.

"Oh Nex" she smiled sweetly to him" there you are " she walked closer and found out he was not alone but was with sensei Moran. "Good evening sensei" she greeted, bowing to the sensei who seemed shocked to see her.

"Good evening Lyra" she managed to answer. "How are you?"

"Well sensei l am doing very fine". She still maintained her smile.

"Were you by any chance attacked by anyone?"

"No sensei l am perfectly fine"

"B.. But" Nex was utterly confused. "Lilith killed you. You were... "

"Enough aspiring ranger Nex" Sensei Moran shunned him with anger. "You acussed your fellow aspirer for murder and must bear the consequences". She walked away sternly and obviously disappointed in Nex.

"Bye Nex" Lyra waved as she made her way back to the hall obviously oblivious of what Nex was talking about, leaving him there all alone confused to the core.

"First aid box. First aid box where are you?" Lilith was totally losing it as she searched for her first box and found it under her bed. She thanked her stars and made for the door immediately.

"It is already too late for that" Andreas said from her bed where he lay seeming peaceful. "I saved her already and she has gone back to the party".

"Really?" Lilith turned back to meet him as he nodded to her question.

"Thank you so much Andreas. You are really the best".

"You are very welcome Lilith" he smiled. "Now its time you have a good night's rest, your training begins tomorrow".

"Of course" Lilith went into the bathroom and had a really nice bathe. She recalled what had happened earlier and how Nex awfully let her down. He was really a douche bag she thought with a sigh but her Andreas had a perfect timing to save her. He was indeed a darling' she thought with a smile.

In no time she was out of the bathroom. She had dressed in the bathroom because she was no longer comfortable with dressing before Andreas and he fully understood and would sometimes excuse her. She sat before her mirror and let down her wet hair, letting it fall down her shoulders. She stared at her reflection for some seconds before making her way to her bed.

Andreas gave her space to lie down as they shared the bed. "Thank you so much Andreas for today" she appreciated him before finally closing her eyes to embrace darkness.

"You are welcome ".

He looked at her innocent sleeping face with so much affection but then jolted himself back to reality. He had a mission and he must not be distracted. He opted to leave her room to get some fresh air outside pecking her but was cut off guard with what she muttered in her sleep.

"I love you Andreas".

"You love me? You love me"...
